So I picked up some clones from a dispensary as this is my first grow and didn't want to mess with germinating seeds ect. At first the employee told me is was Purple Urkle and I was stoked, having smoked some before and really liking it. The next visit I was talking to the owner as he is a friend of mine and he told me it was Purple Arrow. He said it was an OK strain but then gave me some GDP, OG, LBM, RQ and a super strong Elephant on the house. So anyone heard of Purple Arrow? Flowering time? Yeild?

Purple Arrows Vegged for a month and a half kinda weak pheno. Approx 3feet tall but really spindly:

^^Haha to true. Just wondering cause now I have no idea what to expect from it. It's like a scratch ticket. Could be a winner but most likely not. But no idea of smoke or growing qualities? Can't find much on the interwebs.

Yea I have no idea what it is or what'll do. Just be patient and let us now your results, you may have the next 'chem' in your garden. ^^

I'm thinking it's just BS. If I'm thinking my dates are correct I've been vegging for almost two months now. Does that seem like average growth? Barely 3feet from top of soil to top of plant.

Hi Cannikid - I just got a clone of purple arrow, from a guy that has been farming for around a decade... can't tell if it matches your plants though.

I looked up the flowering times --- 45 days. Is this what you experienced?

A short flowering period is what I'm after, so high hopes for this one.

Are you getting your clones in a washington state dispensary? If so i have smokd the seattle area purple arrow but never grown it. It is good smoke but not top shelf.

^^Good to know and yes. Thanks for the input. I don't think I'll keep a mother of this one. The new GDP and Elephant are kicking the PA's ass right now. Both are squat and fat with small internode spacing. I'm glad that these will be done in a short amount of time so I can get them out of there. BTW got mites now. Is it possible to get a clone and not end up with some sort of pests? Oh well I've been prepping for just the occasion. Got some mighty wash I want to try on these mofos.

Haha too true. Everyone and there mom comes in and bring mites into the place. Heard of some old school schwag growers that spray with just avid daily. WTF they're breeding super mites. So I think I got it under control. The Mighty Wash worked pretty well. I'll see in the next three days if they return. If so I'm getting some lady bugs.

I'm actually about to harvest my Purple Arrow tomorrow and it's a beautiful trich filled goddess. She hit the 45 day flower time like clockwork. She responds well to GH micro bloom and flora bloom. Indica hybrid crossed with Cinderella 99 and Durban Thai and apparently from what I've heard is it's primarily only found as a clone. I don't think any seed banks carry the strain

Here are some photos of authentic Purple Arrow grown in soil. It was, like, the holy grail for me to finally come across it. For years I thought it was faked when I saw it in pictures. These are unretouched photos that I shot myself under 6700k light so everything is daylight colored and not tinted in any way. They are simply astonishing. These were grown by Evergreen Scheme in Seattle. These flowers were available at the NW Cannabis Farmer's Market for $25/eighth with a one eighth max purchase so that more folks could give it a try.

The bag appeal is certainly high. It has a terpine profile that smells like citrusy floral. The inhale taste is purple candy and black pepper but the exhale is all floral and lavender. This expression of the strain was a heavy hitting indica though it is considered a 60/40. I am a huge fan.

These pics look too small. Hopefully they adapt when posted.

There are 2 different purple arrows around.

One of them is available in seed form and is an attempt to recreate the original but the genetics arent even close. The seed version is said to be Cindy 99 X Durban Thai. but then i have also heard purple afghani X hindu kush.

The other is clone only, originated in the bellingham area before the other was even around. Its genetics are definetly as follows... a black domina male X permafrost female. Originally there were 100's sold at a seattle dispensary as permafrost but you can tell the difference if you know permafrost, the purple arrow more resembles the male black domina.

The famed clone only is the one to have. It grows extremely crystally buds that appear white with a purple center when finished. It has a strong lemon chem smell and taste. Anyone that has tried a good black domina will see her influences in the buds.

Hope that helps clear some of the confusion up.....

Doesn't look like anything special to me...just some more purple bud with not much trichome coverage.

Top shelf bud sells for more than $25 1/8...

I believe i just picked up 1 clone of Purple Arrow from a collective near seattle and it looks pretty heavy on the permafrost side so it might be just permafrost, i have a pic in another post
