Every seed I start gets damp off

I'm gonna order some of that souther ag. What dose do you use for root drench?
Just 5 ml per gallon. I haven't had any fungal issues inside or outside in my veggie garden since I started using it and the cool thing is besides being a great foliar antifungal agent, it's a plant growth promoting rhizobacteria that solubilizes nutrients, generally helps plants grow better, and can even induce SAR. I'd just get the small $7.99 bottle to start with to test it out.

I just dipped the bottoms of these pellets in water & water made its way to the top hopefully that doesn’t kill all my seedlings. Before I watered them I noticed one of them damped off so these are the 11 I have left & even tho they look good I’d bet everything I own they’re gonna die too. I’ll update when I try again with fungicide & or nuking pellets.

i do the dome as well i cant be bothered to check on them twice a day to see if they dried up or what. unnecessary stress! i pull the dome as soon as i see bumps on the soil though.
I pulled it after they all popped anymore stretching and I would’ve definitely pulled it right away

This will fix all your problems. I don't use any rooting gel, hormones, fungus control stuff, I just stick in a seed or a clone and boom, it grows. Rockwool won't hurt anything either, if you are gonna grow hydro your good to go, soil.... plop that fucker in there and keep it moving

If i was that confident all my shit was going to die, id find a new game just saying. If you really have that many seedlings damping off id toss evey plug etc ive used. Clean everything and if it keeps happening its all you

I actually tried rockwool cubes and same result. Cubes I got are 4 grams bone dry and 40 grams soaking wet. I let it get down to 20-25 grams and the bottoms of the roots turned brown and soggy. Are seedlings supposed to get all their water from the air? Am I wrong to try to add water my seedlings?

Trust me this situation is making me want to never grow anything ever again but these plants have been my main source of income for the last 2 years. I was getting 5 harvests a year almost 6 if I was more on top of my cycles. I've always had minor problems with the seedling stage but never anywhere close to this extent. Everything that's worked for me before with seedlings doesn't work anymore it's like I'm doing this for the first time again. At this point the only thing I can point to is the medium. I'll update when I try starting something in a 100% sterile medium.

I soak my cubes and squeeze a lil water out the first time, rest of the time I just water them with no worries, sounds like you have a root rot problem in your cloner...

Just set then on a plate and keep them watered don't use the cloning res

Wait, are you leaving them soak in water like that the whole time? If you are you need a air stone in the water, roots need oxygen, or they rot... or take them out the water hold them over a bucket and water once.or twice a day and set back on plate

No I'm just dipping them in water every other day. They last 2 days before going dry. When I started them to begin with I soaked the pellets to expand them then I squeezed as much water out as I possibly could so they look moist but there's really not much water in there. The pic I took I just dipped them in water before I took the pic and I only dipped the bottom part in water but the top still got wet so fingers crossed they don't die. My shopping list rn is that root tone powder and southern ag.

And nice plants. I have rockwool cubes so I would like to try them out again eventually. Jungle boys use rockwool and they know their shit. I use nutrients that are the same ratios as athena which is what jungle boys use and get amazing results.

What is your final method? Soil, hydro? Tbh i hate jiffy pellets i never had luck with them some do i didnt. I now( long time) just go with a cell and start mix i can’t remember the last seedling ive lost. Watered daily with a spray bottle they need so little at first

I'm doing coco/perlite drain to waste hydro. I've always had bad luck adding seeds straight to coco.

Trying that many beans with that many methods and losing all to damping off makes no sense that we know lol

All I can think of is airborne fungus' or the grow medium but I've tried rockwool with no success so it's gotta be airborne fungus I guess. While I wait for this root powder and fungicide to get here I want to try watering my seedlings with peroxide. Has anyone tried this? My fully grown plants can take 1-2ml of 35% peroxide per gallon. If I can give my seedlings a strong but not too strong dose of peroxide with every watering then it should be almost physically impossible to get damp off.

I hit up 3 friends who have grow experience and I'm going to give them seeds and see what happens.

@zebracake were you able to identify the issue with your seedlings? Did any of them recover?
I had a friend start some seeds that I have now that are doing good and also got some rooted clones from a friend. I’m pretty sure I had my lights too close because I had some seedlings grow fine in the shade outdoors but they grew really slow and it was hard getting them used to direct sunlight in the summer sun.

I also didn’t rinse out my coco coir which I’ve gotten away with before but I feel like not rinsing can slow down growth if not kill seedlings all together. I’m going to start another batch of seeds in a week or so in a humidity dome, rinsed coco coir, and the correct light distance for about 200 par rating. I’m almost certain not rinsing the coco was the main problem I feel dumb for not realizing it sooner but like I said I’ve gotten away with it before.
