Having been destroyed in the past by root disease in DWC, I learned about the benefits of AACT. It was a miracle when nothing else worked.
Years later and in a new climate I have started up another couple of DWC tubs. I was thinking that the tea would be a good preventative and generally beneficial and am ready to brew and use it all the time. But my first dose went into the tubs last night and today they're pretty mucked up and cloudy and covered in the brown coating and the pH was wayyy off this morning. Up around 8 after only 2 cups of tea in a 7 gallon res.
So, I'm wondering if anybody else runs tea in DWC for preventative/ general benefit reasons and if it's really all that helpful in hydroponics anyway (aside from beating back an active root disease)? There are so many additives and opinions out there that I'm just plain lost on what to actually use in my tubs.
I'm also starting up some hempys and coco/perlite pots and am wondering, again, if it would benefit me all that much to run tea in those?
