Exausting outside of grow room

My ac infinity 8 inch inline is the whip. Running on a #2 setting even in the room you really can't hear it.
Would you get 1 big fan or 3 smaller? You think it would be easier doing a big fan one exaust duct with filters that have reducers to 4”? I see the 8” would actually be almost half the cost.

Alright, Im on it! Thanks yall I definetly suffered the buy once cry once effect. I need to be less stubborn this was a dumb purchase.

Was my idea to use these duct tees to hook them up still good? Couple of these and then reduce it to 4” just before the filter? 3 tents, a 3x3, 2x2 and 2x4 side by side.

Then you combine the fact the tents are not all the same size coupled with the possibility of NO or almost no 90 degree angles is a tall order.

Would you do 3 fans instead? Do they need separate exaust ducts or can I at least join those? The 3x3 is a veg tent that doesnt need special attention if that matters.

I worry doing 3 fans each tent that it wont have enough power to push all the way to exaust site 8’ away.

I know venting outside and drawing in air through the door has helped a lot. When summer comes, actually late spring already is when it gets too hot.

I think the 8” will do it but like one said, will it just draw air from the closest tent and not vent enough out of the rest? If I get 3 fans, can they merge into one exaust duct?

My perpetual grow is starting to take off and need it setup asap, I should be flipping clones in couple weeks.

I think the 8" can possible handle the 3 tents, but not with a restrictive duct setup, or fittings that go from 4" to three 3" ports.

I'm not seeing any 3 way 8" duct splitter fittings, and why I suggested just cutting up a plastic tote to use as one.

If anything, you might just hookup the 8" with whatever fittings you come up with, and if it isn't good enough, then install a smaller cheaper inline duct fan as an intake booster for each tent, to effectively make it into an active system, instead of passively trying to pull through 3 tents. Or use one intake fan going to the 3 tents, just like the exhaust with another 3 way split.

I've ran a few set ups in the past using one fan with two tents.

For it to work everything has to be fairly equal.
Length of ducts, thus resistance, and tent sizes.

The issue you've got is the 3 tents are different sizes , the extraction will be divided equally between the 3 but that means the total volume per minute will be far higher in the 2x2 than 3x3 and thus temps will be a lot colder .

All 3 will have different rh and temp .

Eg.
3x3x7 is 63cubic feet
2x2x5 is 20cubic feet

Air is being exchanged 3 times as often in the 2x2 , temp will be far lower as will rh

Just out of interest what's the 2x2 going to have in it light wise?

135 watt fecida led ufo 1000 its about 1000ppfd. I been had it it should work ok it runs cool to the touch. The tent is to run new genetics to eventually keep and clone over and over. Also want to make some bubble or dry sift hash rosin

Your going to have such a much better time of you just spend the money on 3 separate fans with 3 separate controllers so you can dial in the environment in each tent. One fan pulling for 3 different size tents with different lights and different strains and stages of plants sounds like such a nightmare.

Yea Id thought id give it time for more feed back before digging a deeper hole. Could the exaust be joined to one duct?

I only have a small panel taped to the window with a 6” hole in it with a coupler so these tents may be able to just vent out of one louver. Only space for 1 more duct vent or I need to make a new panel.

Though with 3 200cfm fans with low static pressure it probably wont vent to well anyway and need be on full power so they all would be anyway on high.

The 2x4 and 2x2 with flower and shouldnt get too hot theyre actually under powered. The 2x4 is 2 65w led fecida but the ppfd map shows its actually bright enough to flower with.

Rh with dehuey on max power it will only go down so far and then no amount of air will bring it down.

Too much bud. I went up to 50rh no mold but suspect il be seeing like 55rh 60rh and just am going to ride it out.

Was told 55rh indoors with airflow is still ok. I chopped early in fear of mold but this time going to see if the tolerance can be raised.

Edit idk if matters, kinda does but not a lot, the 2x4 is a shorty 5’ so 8 cubic feet smaller. Which will suck, supposed to be veg tent but upsized my ideas/grow. How it goes with this hobby lol.
