RIU has been a great help in my getting started so in the interest of giving something back here's my experience in getting a small grow room set up and going.
I now have the following gear:
DR80
Pioneer VIII (T5 8x2')
Can Fan 9000
Squirrel Fan (190CFM)
65CFM inline booster fan
Canna Pro soil
Canna Nutes
Lowryder #2 from drchronic.com - delivered in 1 week. Put 3 seeds in germination, all germinated and all plants are growing (4 weeks in).
Once I decided on the above, the real issues were heat and odor.
The seedlings spent about a week in the 80's and low 90's but they seem to be ok now. I eventually got the temperature into the high 70s by using the 190cfm squirrel fan on the output at the top and the 65cfm on one of the lower portals in the DR80 for intake.
The Can Fan 9000 eliminated the odor - just make sure you have negative pressure in the grow area.
The material in the DR80 is fragile - I put a 2inch tear in it when installing one of the top support. Ripped way too easy.
All this was made easier by having 2 excellent grwo shops within 10 miles.
I have a small pump and aqua shuttle kit that I plan to use for auto-watering when needed.
