Whats up guys i just have a quick question. i'm just growing bagseed this year and my plants usually end up about 6 foot. i just want to know if there's a limit to how tall they wil grow. If i put out a 2 foot clone in the beginning of the outdoor season i would expect it to grow 8-10 feet. I could be wrong, i just want to know if it will make a difference if i put the plant out already two foot tall.

Well, you gotta remember when you grow outside its totally different than growing indoors.

A 2 foot plant would be a great start to a high yield any way you look at it.

But, in nature .. the sun decides in what it wants to do...

If you grow in a shady spot, you'll have smaller plants etc..

yea i know that, i have a great spot that gets direct sunlight all day long. my plants for the past 3 years have been at least 5 foot. it just seems that they want to grow bigger but they start to flower from the sun. I just didn't know if a plant will only grow so tall or if i could even put a 3 footer out would it just grow and grow until the lighting changes for flowering

I would think that each strain has it's maximum height. That being said it doesn't mean you won't get a better yield if you give it a head start indoors. Make sure it's not root bound before transplanting outdoors. I believe you get taller plants when starting from seeds and not from clone too. If you going for height start from seed indoor in a large container. Try to sex it before spending time planting outdoors and it will be a monster if placed in the sun with good soil and love.

Yup you will have a larger plant. That's it that's all.

Now how do you hide an 8 foot plant?

I start all mine indoors and put them out in the shade for 5 days than partial sun in the a.m. for 5 days than full sun after they are hardened off.

Yea, definately gotta " harden " them off when you put them outside! I had plenty of clones burn right up last year because I didnt harden them off enough. Good advice for sure!

Also make sure that the shady spot you put them in is fairly dry, if it's really wet, slugs are more likely to be around and the WILL eat your plants right down to the stalk! Either way I'd use some sort of slug bait/deterent cause they LOVE fresh young weed plants!

Just noticed were in the indoor forum, oh well? I'm dyin to get out there already!!!
