Extraction, Intake, CFM

cant find clear figures and answers regarding ventilation,

Do I need to create a negative pressure if I am running a closed system and supplementing CO2?

is there a rule of thumb on what the difference (% wise or ratio) between extraction and intake, for example extraction double intake or triple etc...

Any rule on how many times the air should be calculated per min or hour,,, i.e. The room air should be circulated a minimum of x times and max of y times.

I am trying planning on building a small AHU; with HEPA filters and carbon filter in it, so it serves as a cooling, dehumidifier, and filtration, but can't decide on the fan sizes and the CFM of the fans.

In case anyone is willing to do the maths for me, growing area is 10X10X8ft :)

Thx in advance

From what I gathered I did a calculation but figures seemed unreasonable tbh, Ill be using COBs 6 kits each giving 675Ws
The calculations I got are;

1) I need to have full air circulation 30 times per hour that means once every 2 mins

2) 10XX10X8= 800 Cu ft

3) so I'll need 800 X 2= 1600 cfm for extraction and 800 cfm for intake.

4) won't creating that much negative pressure make lose half the supplemented CO2?

Do I need that much negative pressure? Is 1600 cfm reasonable for the setup? Do HEPA filters reduce the CO2 in the air passing through it?

Any advice pls

You cant really run CO2 to the fullest if your not running a sealed room, IMO. If you cant do this and need extraction fans because of heat or smell than its probably not worth bothering with.

Oppps just noticed I did a mistake, if my grow area is 800 Cu ft and I need to circulate air once every 2 minutes, then I'll need an extractor that is 400 cfm, not 1600 cfm...

In that case maybe I can extract 500 cfm and return 400 cfm, or I don't really need to create a negative pressure if I am maintaining a closed cycle!

in a 10x10 running co2, it will need to be sealed so you'll have to have some type of air conditioner in the room (window unit or a mini split), so you won't need extraction or intake
