clear your mind with breathing.

just breathe, focus on your breathing.

breathe slow or fast, however you feel like breathing.

do this for a bit and see how you feel.

focus on happy thoughts. happy memories, do something you love to do.

The article doesn`t point at the buzz from weed causing a panic attack, okay that can happen to some people but thats not the point.

The point is that when your nice and buzzed you get the chance to steer away from disturbances and ride a straight track, like taking a step back. Problem is that if your not medicating constantly then you are eventually going to step back into that same mindset where you have to face or feel things again, and thats whats tough on the mind.

I`m only making sure this is interpreted correctly thats all. Not CLAIMING that weed is causing all this...

Plus Urca you never really ask for advice you just "think out loud" in an online way....

Well I guess I replied to the thread but "enjoying on some level" is sorta vague :)

"However, everyday use of Cannabis can in some cases be correlated with psychological withdrawal symptoms such as irritability and insomnia,[SUP][85][/SUP] and evidence could suggest that if a user experiences stress, the likeliness of getting a panic attack increases because of an increase of THC metabolites.[SUP][91][/SUP][SUP][92][/SUP] However, Cannabis withdrawal symptoms are typically mild and are never life-threatening."

I have a friend who used to be quite the stoner. He is a bodybuilder with frizzy afro hair, extremely dope personality. He quit weed 2 years ago and wouldn`t have it even if his blind drunk... Reason is he had a few panic attacks and realised that they were aggrevated by weed.

I`m also sure you can get medicine for panic attacks. My friends girlfriend has them... She drinks & smokes weed for say 6 months, has a panic attack and goes on pills for 6 months then repeat, lol

Surely this should give you reason enough to NOT BE scared of death and solve it all in your head, so you can smoke weed ;)
thats some funny shit right there, frizzy afro hair LOL

are you in college urca?

Im very afraid to die, and usually this can trigger a panic attack or a major depressive episode.
Idk what to do, I just felt it coming on, just tried to lay down and go to sleep, when it hit, so im back on here trying to distract myself long enough to forget about it
No sense in being scared of something you can do nothing about it.

You won't feel a thing.

Think of it this way, you were dead thousands of years before you were born and it served a no inconvenience to you.

i am tempted to not even respond to this not because im an asshole, but i feel that my voice may go unheard..lol. but since i decided to i hope this will be of use to you. When i was 17 i learned how important health is and how much better you feel when you are healthy. This could very well be your problem. Theres alot of information i would like to give but i really don't feel like typing it all out so ill say the basics that most people should know anyway. Eating healthy and getting proper vitamins and nutrients really makes a HUGE change in your life. Your health will increase, your happiness will increase, your energy will increase, and many many illnesses and problems like this will most likely disappear. i am not scientist or doctor but these are facts. if you become this way you will feel like you are living your life to the fullest imo and then you may not ever have this problem again. Exercise, drink lots of water, take vitamins daily, eliminate all processed crap food from your diet eat NATURAL. one last thing and one of the most important. look into water fasting, the goal is to eliminate all toxins from your body and feel reborn. Lots of good documentaries and information about these things....i've seen a few on netflix- Food matters is one, few others on there as well. I know this is a weed forum so not exactly everyone is a health fanatic lol but im serious about this. Personally i only smoke occasionally which not only promotes better health but makes me love weed even more when i do get high....anyway this is just advice take it or leave it but i believe it will help you. i would stay far away from any man made drugs- i found out the hard way when i was young by taking a prescription that FUCKED me up, so now its all natural for me.

Every once in a while I will experience the same thing. Its super overwhelming. It only happens at night when im about to go to sleep and bam hits me like a punch to the face and i cant get my mind off of it. Ive been experiencing it since my young teens years as well. You just gotta try to shake it off it hard to fight.
