F@CKING Spider Mites.

To date, the WORST pest I have ever had indoors was an explosion of fungus gnats!! They were a pain in the ass, but the plants didn't suffer any effects.
I have NEVER seen anything devastate a plant as fast as these little fuckers. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed that the girls looked like they had "over-spray" on them. Fans were dropping, 3 or 4 a day at least. In less than 3 weeks, I have lost about 1/3 of my crop!!!
The girls are about 5 weeks into flower, and the humidity in the room was 30% or less, and the temps were a LITTLE high, around 88f at peak heat of day. GREAT ventilation. It never occurred to me that I had created the ideal conditions for these little bastards, because they are ideal flowering conditions!!!!
I have hit them with everything organic I can find. 3% straight peroxide (recommended by another very experienced grower), I went and bought a pound of Habaneros and a pound of cheap assed tobacco. Chopped the hell out of the Habs (EVERY extremity on my body burns!!!) and simmered the whole concoction in a gal of water with a tad of dish soap for about 14 hrs.. Diluted that at 16 oz per 2 gal. Last night we bought a 12K BTU portable A/C. Temp in the room is now 70. and RH is around 65%.
I seem to be gaining ground with the sprays (that will continue every 3 days), hopefully between altering the grow room conditions and the spraying, I'll win the war. I have a last ditch resort, Martins' Cyonara (Recommended by the UT ag extension).
Thank the powers that be I had the foresight to keep a few "back-up" plants, and 4 trays of clones at the house!!! So I aint COMPLETELY screwed. I have about 90 Black Widow and about 40 GLO clones I can throw into 12/12 if I have to.

I hope you win the battle my friend - I've had the little buggers in the past, but nothing like the infestation you're describing.

yea...really sucks when you find em in your flwr. Best thing to keep them at bay is detail them off every leaf (pain in the ass)or powerspray the shit out of them and let them fully dry out every day or so

The best option in flowering you have to get rid of spider mites in my opinion are these hot shot no pest strips:
http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Shot-5580-Unscented-Repellent/dp/B0019BK8AG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404847620&sr=8-1&keywords=hot shot no pest strip

I have used them against both spider mites and thrips with AMAZING success! The active ingredient, dichlorvos, is safe but it is recommended you don't spend more than 4 hours in the room the pest strip is hanging in per day. And due to a 1 day half life, it will not leave much of any residual chemicals on your plant. Just hang a strip in your flowering room for a week and all pests will be taken care of! If you have a ventilation system running, i'd recommend turning it off at night for the first few nights of use.

i agree with the direct scientific approach rather than the hippy approach
but i think you should possibly find something that is for use on edible plants
what you posted seems to be for roses and other ornamentals (non edable plants)
its possible whats in that insecticide could leave behind something harmful

i use systhane for mildew this can be used on edibles like grapes etc

lol we could turn this around and maybe get some win out of it

soak a big mac n some fries in some water overnight filter/strain away the water from the solids
spray this grease water on your plants
the slime will kill the bugs for sure and make your weed taste beefy perhaps

Yeah, it would taste great while you smoked it and then you'd feel like shit ten minutes later.
