F Series or COB?

I have been looking to build a new light and was hoping for some input between Samsung F Series or COB.

Would I need heat sinks if I went with F Series?

Samsung F Series Build:
HLG-185H-c1400A – 46.60 x 4 = $186.40
LED Strips – 36.98 x 12 = $443.71

COB Build:
MeanWell HLG-240h-c1400 Driver x 4 = $231.20
Luminus CXM22 x 12 = $348.72

Which F strips from which vendor?

Height restricted?............

No height restrictions at all.

Go with the cheaper option then..........cobs/ strips similar in performance .

210W, it could be built for ~$250

I was planning on going with cobs but after I priced out the F series i'm not sure now. It would really come down to what kind of heat sink I would need on the F Series.

There’s a thread in here with h series strips in the title and he is testing the f series with no heat sink at 100w and the temps are stabilizing I believe he said at 29degrees c. You’ll find it I’m sure worth the look

Thank you. I actually found it about 10 minutes ago and it's exactly what I was looking for. Seems like the best option! That build looks amazing

Look at color temp spectrums. COBS offer 90CRI in 3000 and 3500k which have more red for
flower I believe than the F strips.

Price wise the F series is a better choice in my opinion.
