"false pregnancy"

I am of the opinion trichome color as the guide to maturity alone may not be optimum.

If you let the flower reach the state of "false pregnancy", you have achieved max weight. I say use strains to determine taste, burn, and type of high. All of the key factors will be effected by strength/talent of grow.

Just let the stigma retreat, and the calyx will swell massively.

I have always harvested simply by the overall look of my plants, I like to see them really 'darken' off, I never use a glass to view trichs personally. Far too many plants are harvested way too early. I am never dissapointed with my results and thats all that matters to me :-) I like that couchlock and dont grow sativas so a good 9/10 weeks is what I look for. Been doing this a LONG time though, I'm in my fifties now!

If you reveg and trim buds off at 11/12 weeks when deep brown they will still knock you sideways in my experience too.

Just my opinion/experience.
