Hey guys i just wanted some feedback on what size fan you guys would get for 400 watt cool tube in 3x3 foot area with 6 feet height. Something with a link that wont make too much noise please :D

The cool tube will likely be 6" diameter so I'd stick with ducting, inline, and carbon filter (you won't need a huge one for just 54 cubic feet) that's 6". You won't need to run a 6" inline anywhere near full speed with just a 400w so buy any decent brand and with the money you save from buying an expensive 'silent-y' inline, buy some insulated ducting, a fan speed controller, and a duct muffler.

I have a 400w cooltube also i am about to start using
i just piked it up from a buddy and he gave me a 185cfm inline duct fan,im also interested to know what kind of fan to run for a cooltube
My grow area is basically the same as urs its 62"tall 32x32
Will this 185cfm fan cool the tube?
i was thinking of getting the carbon filter combo on amazon that comes with a 440cfm inline
would that be too much?

You have a smaller amount of feet in width and height around a foot and half smaller than me so the orientation of anything bigger than 4 inch with filter is going to be impossible. Plus honestly i dont think you will need for such small area same for me because my air is being vented through all my equipment and out the window. Therefore any smell that leaks from filter goes outside and dissipates easily, now my concern is how loud would the fan be enclosed in two osb boxes and with insulated ducting

It should not have much of an impact on an inline fan's cfm. Keep this in mind though if you are only working with 36" in width: your cool tube will likely be around 20" in length and 6" diameter, so if you go with 4" ducting you will have to add two reducers onto each end of the cool tube which is going to add somewhere around an additional 8" to the length of the cool tube and you'll still need to account for another 8" from the two 4" ducts. So that might not fit without angling the cool tube from corner to corner. If you stick with 6" ducting from inline fan to cool tube and then out, you'll get better efficiency and it should just fit (20" + 12").

Adding a fan speed control will reduce noise the most. Mufflers are a nice add on, if you like it extra stealth :-) If you can afford it, a 6" carbon scrubber does a way more efficient job than a 4".
