FAN Leaf EPIDEMIC!!??

My fan leaves are falling off:evil:...one by one. It seems like everytime I yank one the next one immediatly starts to turn yellow and die. So I left these on here to hopefully prolong the death of main fan leaves. Each branch has a main fan leaf ..and it seems that those are the only leaves that seem to be having a problem.

Is this nutrient burn??...which I don't think so because it would probably be affecting more leaves than specificly the fan leaves.

So.....would this be nitrogen deficiency. This is my first grow so i'm still learning.
-Should I piss in my plant? i mean fuck. i will if i have to. I got two weeks before flowering and I don't want my next set of fan leaves above those to start turning yellow and falling off.

1. Does not having the fan leaves for each main branch directly affect the branches ability to develop?
2. whats my quick fix? I've already plucked 2 big ones and now i'm guna have to yank these two. Its starting at the bottom and going up to each major leaf.

-plz help.. someone who knows or has had experience with this bullshit

Looks under fed to me. Try giving it some cal-mag with your nutrients.
If your bush is too dense trim some inner leaves. Sometimes the plant knows they aren't getting enough sunlight and or co2 and the plant decides that those leaves aren't being used so they end up dying.

cool spidermite collection dude.

I don't see anything you should be super worried about. Just some old growth. Considered pruning up the bottoms of your plants? Anything that isn't getting direct light is just a waist of space. You'd be better off if your plant spent it's energy producing new cola growth rather than that stuff on the bottom that provides no real benefit.

Bud sites are at producing everywhere so i'm scared to prune. honestly this is my first grow and the only gutsy thing i have done is top my plant....which was the best decision i've ever made. I think i'm going to let the plant grow naturally..the budding sites are insane..theyr EVERYWHERE :]

insect generally are stayin away from this plant and I got a few spiders holdn down the fort on this guy..so it's coo

My feeding schedule is Fox farm 3tsp's of grow big every other day and water every otherday. its sucks up water sooo fast I have to feed it ever day. so it's definitly not a nutrient deficiency cus i baby this bitch HARD.
I also feed it Mykos "CalCarb" about every two weeks. I'm flowering in exactly two weeks .... so I hate everytime I have to yank a major fan leaf to yellow-gayness

My cheese plants are doing the exact same thing. It's only on the bottom. Every day it seems like a few fall off on their own. I been hitting them hard with nutes lately so they could just need a trim. They're plump and bushy.

Best of luck.

That pattern of sun leaf yellowing and loss is usually associated with a shortage of Nitrogen. She'll still drop some leaves that are shaded, but the added N will minimize it.

I'd strongly suggest you transplant her into a bigger pot. Double or even triple her current container.

There's a transplanting tutorial in my 2010 grow log, linked in my siggy.

There are a lot of tips in that thread you might find useful.

Page 38. This method gets wonderful results. I used tomato plants because they were available, at the time.

I totally would...the current container it's in is filled with about 8-10 gallons of soil and plant is about 5 feet or so tall. the pic doesn't do justice. I'm out of money to throw into her so .. i'm just guna let her do her thing with what she has :]

I know she has much more potential size wise. she practically doubled her size in two weeks when i transplanted her into this new container you see in the photo.

I don't have any nitrogen nutes and i'm not mobile ..... so I think I will wait two weeks till flowering and throw those nutrients at her and see how she reacts then.

flowering nutes - bud ignitor, big bud, bud candy, tiger bloom, big bloom, overdrive, rhino skin. not all at once but thats what shes going to have to work with in a couple weeks. so whatever deficiency she has now... hopefully those nutes will set her straight.

I think your over watering them, do you wait until the rubbermaid is completely dry before you water again? Do you have proper drainage holes too?

Nah I don't wait till it dries completely. But I know shes sucking up 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of water everyday. I usually feed her once a day/nutes every other day.

It'd be like water first day/nutes the next day/ dry out for a day to 2 then start all over again.

I got two small holes on one side for drainage. But i know exactly how much water to put in the soil so there's no puddeling at the bottom of tote.

Sorry I dont know, I just know from experience from my first grow thats what happened and I killed all my plants. I think your plants will be ok

Hey alexonfire..I checked out your Round Three grow op. Dude you need to things minimum.

1. AZAMAX - botanical insecticide, miticide, and nematicide. you apply once every two weeks to keep every piece of shit insect and animal away. it organic and made by general hydroponics but can be used for any growing situation.

2. If you not using any nutrients... you should at least get TIGER BLOOM. whatever crops you might get... this will makem two times bigger and taste atleast two times better.

yes. look under the leaves with spots on them and you'll see little white and black dots.

Not a big deal outdoors. It's more of an indoor problem in my experience. Don't freak out over it. You should be fine. Spray under the leaves with some sort of organic oil based spray. Neem or rosemary oil should do.

Oh the white spots you see in the picture of from the residue from Mykos CalCarb. It's a foliar spray. The white residue from the spray on leaves is actually very beneficial to your plant :]

I highly recommend it if your growing. It makes your plants grow literally twice as fast..and look twice as healthy.

most of those bud sites will end up producing fluffy popcorn crap.

Would you rather have a bunch of fatty colas or a bunch of shake? The plant will end up producing the same amount of bud either way. How big those buds are is up to you. Prune up the plant and get fatty colas, or don't do it and get a bunch of fluff. The choice is yours.
