Fast Cure Or is it cheating??

I let my erbs dry for 3 days then I cure in a jar for 2 days then I let them just sit out on a screen and air dry until hard! Is there a faster way of doing it and still being able to bring out the taste and smoke of the bud?? I mean with them being a tad moist they still go down smooth! Am I affecting the true THC content of the strain?

for one its not curing while its in the jar the first time. and if you let them go til rock hard, less then 50% RH, they may tast good and smell great. but you killed it. its done. smoke it up ass fast as you can. it sounds like a decent method though, i mean the first step...

No Im serious..lol..Now I feel crazy for doing it this way!! What do you suggest??
Welllllllll............ get some hygrometers on ebay for like 2 bucks a piece... put one in every jar ... look up a whole thread on advanced curing (couldn't find the one I've been looking for)

Curing mj is the most important step in bringing out maximum THC, curing helps the sugars metabolize into THC or something scientific like that =)

generically...

Let dry until stems snap (3-7 days) depends on size..

cure in jars in cool dark place for at least 30 days... also "burp" jars for a few mins a day, and wipe off any excess condensation that is acquired inside of the jar.

Always check all buds out for bud mold daily.

i agree with every thing except the $2 hygrometers on eBay. i got a caliburIII and i paid $18.95 free shipping. it will fit in every size mason jar you will want to cure in.

i hang dry for 3 days on the stem.
then i cut buds off stem and place in jar for 24 hours. it lets the moisture redistribute from the inside to the outside.
after 24 hours i remove from jars and dry on a tray for a day or two. depends on how big the buds are and how much moisture is still in them.
then i put back in jars.
then every 12 hours you "burp" the jars for 10-15 minutes. it releases the extra built up moisture/funk. too much and you will ruin it.

also, when filling jars, DO NOT fill all the way up. i heard about 3/4 is perfect. with the bigger buds i place them in bigger jars and only fill up half way.

here is the hygrometer i purchased. i prefer one per jar. but you may be able to get away with just one and a bigger mason jar. just do not fill it up more then 3/4.

To me, 30 days IS a quick cure. The longer you can go, the better it will be. Anyone ever open a year old jar? HEAVEN!!!!

I have heard of certain people in Amsterdam curing their pot for a year before it even sees light, I bet it's mindblowing. I'm going to have to try it sometime.
