fastest flower period ever? 35 days from Dr greenthumb

Dr greenthumb cliams 35-45 days. anyone every tried this, know of anything faster that is legit? I have been running Critcal + by dinanfem for about 6 months, and its a true 6-7 cut. I ussually do 6 weeks 3 days, to be precise. If there is something faster out there Id like to know about it. thanks!

thats the one. I guess Im wondering if thats legit, is it really done in 5 weeks? and is it quality? looking for some answers before I just buy up all teh seeds DRGT has in stock. lol

Kinda what Im thinking, just because it seems impossible to have a good yeild, a good smoke, and get it done in 5 weeks. I will also say though that I thought dinafem was full of shit when they said Critical + finished in 6 weeks.

I think you have to look at the exact claim here.

Greenthumb has said this one finishes in 35-45 days and ends up as potent as OG kush, Sour Diesel or Urkel. He said the yield is "good" which to me just means it isn't super-scanty. I suspect that you probably have to veg this one a bit longer to make up for the extra size its not developing during flowering. So if you're growing a plant from ceed, the fast flowering time may not be as helpful as it otherwise "could" be.

From clones could be more useful, and if you can really get that kind of potency with only 5-6 weeks of flower, that's a potentially useful strain, even if the yield isn't necessarily that great.

My take is that "35-45 days" probably means "45 days". If so, that would make this one somewhat similar to Green Crack, which is legitimately done in 45 days 12-12 from clones and potent.

What I'd like to see is an actual lab report on this one. That would at least give some objective basis to determine potency.

I don't know of anything that is really "done" at only 5 weeks, but I can think of several that will legitimately finish in 45-50 days, or around 6-7 weeks.

-A few of the old school pure indicas like Afghan #1 and Hash Plant will finish that fast.

-Green Crack (clone only) will be legitimately done in 45-50 days. I've run the Sickmeds Green Crack S1 from ceed, and my pheno was legitimately done in 50 days from clone (took a bit longer from ceed). You can see the pictures in the grow report in my sig.

-You already mentioned Critical plus.

-There is a strain called "top 44" that is supposedly done in 44 days, though I can't comment on its quality.

-Silver Pearl is another good old school strain that finishes in about 45-50 days. Sensi used to offer it, but I think its "clone only" now, probably circulates more in Europe than in the USA, and you're probably going to have a hell of a time finding any.

-Bogglegum is supposed to be a 6-7 weeker, too.

I'm sure there are others; try Google. . .you'll find some.

Bluntly, people have selectively bred for fastest possible flowering time before.

So its not clear to me how/why Dr. Greenthumb has been able to do what nobody else before him could.

If you read his claim of "35-45 days" as "45 days" (as I do), that's still very impressive, but its hardly unique. There are a number of other good strains out there that can legitimately finish that fast.

Also, there are probably a number of other strains that aren't really "done" at 45 days, but could probably still give decent potency and even yield if harvested that early.

Thanks for the really great info jogro, both on other fast strains and on Freedom 35. I think Ill grab a pack just to try them and give old DRGT another shot at my palace of cannibis. whats the worst that can happen? I get 10 shitty plants in 5 weeks that dont even get you high, one of my patients I care give for cant get medicated sending him on a psychotic killing rampage and I end up in jail getting pounded in the shower? Or, what the fuck, maybe Ill get 5 week weed, and then Ill invent 10 day flowering weed like brotherjerid said and be famous! FTW!

If you want it fast there are only two that are real quick AND dank. Top 44 is legit and done in 44 days, it's pretty dank, very oldschool flavour and smell, but not quite OG power. Yields are more than respectable, good SOG plant.

Ak 48 from Nirvana can be finished in 48 days with the right pheno, otherwise it takes up to 55. Better than Top 44 in my humble opinion.

Or just be happy with 60 days, there's TONS of great reefer that finishes perfectly in 8 weeks out there.

I definitely would because apparently there isn't much info out there and someone has to do it at some point. also, thanks for other recommendations, I love my 8 week strains for indoor, but I live in AK and outdoor is almost impossible up here with out a lot of work doing light deprivation. Or you can just run autos, but you would have to do a ton of them, and the medical restrictions up here are pretty tight, really hard for one person to get more than six plants in flower at any given time if they are follwing the laws.

I took a black russian (Black domina X White russian) at 5 weeks cause it had dicks all over it and it was as done as others i had taken at 8 weeks. it sucked either way but thats probably just the pheno i got. it was decently strong with a shit ton of crystals. I know this isn't like a plant thats done in 35-45 days but with some aggressive hydro (the opposite of what i do) you could probably crank out PILES of hard dense nugs every 5-6 weeks of some pretty good stuff. Its got AK47 in its heritage right? isn't white russian white widow X AK 47? Idk it was pretty nuts I've never seen anything be ROCK hard after only 5 weeks and big too i got 5 oz off her. seems like you could probably dig out a nice pheno.

I smoked an Afghani Bullrider cross that finished at 35 days. Clone only and only one guy has it. Was actually pretty good but he's only grown it once and he's not even sure it wasn't a fluke of conditions. It's not as good as other plants from the same generation, but it's passable. Could be a commercial variety I guess.
