Bought a unit off eBay. Seemed to work fine until I used it often now 2 of the sections have turned off.

Any advice would be appreciated

The 3 and 5 w model seem to have a high failure rate. I started using Chinese LEDs of various brands. Most 300w rated. 180 actual. Usually the center LEDs would fail. No heat sinks in the middle. ? Saved $1. Anyway I used them for a couple years. 4 would work well. But I could expect failure after 2 to 3 grows. I am like others here. It's very easy to build your own. Also some of the Chinese imports do have service here.

Live and learn
It's a very expensive live and learn. At nearly £500. One light went then another, both in the corners.

Seller claims its under warranty and claims it was fully working when he used it. I. Shall try and get it sorted. if not I might contact eBay, unit has only been used for a few hours.

Not sure it makes a difference but when I just disconnected it and reconnect it. There were Sparks and a noise from the 2 connecting pieces.

Sounds like a short, probably a bad/blown driver(s). try connecting the "bad" cluster/modules quick connects to the working drivers==== see if they light up without sparking/noise.

I will do that when I get back home. Could it possibly be a power cable feeding too much power and blown them? I'm sure I'm only using the cable the seller provided. It's either a 12 or amp plug.

Just seems a little strange to me how 2 could go in such a short period (2 days)

Think I might use the hps for now until I find out if they will replace the faulty parts.

I don't think the cable is the problem outherwise the entire unit would be faulty now a faulty wire from the driver could be shorting on the case or something
