i typically don't try to come across as a "know-it-all". and i usually only post on things i have actually done. so i'm not going to go into the whole "you really don't know what you're talking about" shpeel. instead i'll just show you some pics of some plants that i did NOT trim off the weak 3 foot branches. instead they were left to grow, as you suggested. i'll let you look at the pics and then you can tell me again how well these branches produce.:eyesmoke::blsmoke:
FDD I just spent the last 45 minutes reading though this thread. It was unfortunate how much crap I had to filter through because of these ignorant people. I would Like to compliment you on the techniques that you have demonstrated. It is crazy because a lot of people could learn really good information but they choose not to. Thanks again.

we trimmed this plant yesterday. last year i grew a few of these and they turned out all fluffy and airy. they had hella popcorn buds and the whole plants went straight to the hash bin. as my wife and i were trimming yesterday she looked at me and said "thank you for trimming this plant proper while it was growing". it had very few popcorn buds. just a whole bunch of nice little 4 inch colas. packed rather tight with some nice resin content. :eyesmoke:

Of course, I've seen a vineyard. More than one. I may not live in Cali anymore, but I did until I was 15. I don't know what that has to do with anything, though. To answer your question about my point, it's simple, really! Your words and actions impact others, especially new growers. As you must be well aware. Truly, I'm not purposely trying to be difficult, but I am bound by family honor to help and not harm. And further, to try to help the misguided see the error of thier ways.
I know this is an old post, but its people like this that require manufactuers to put warnings like "Harmful if swallowed" on Bleach!!
