I got a DUI charge in the states for having thc in my blood. I refused to have blood taken willfully and they got a warrant to draw blood which took over 3 hours. Pure bs thc remains in your blood for 24 hr.. I could have fought it and probably won but they dropped it to impaired with no jail time. I hadn't smoked for 4 hours before being pulled over and they still called me dirty after 7 hours later. They smelled weed was there whole reasoning.

You're never going to convince the dumb cop, so I wouldn't even bother. Refuse to speak, but perform the tests and fight it in court. And ALWAYS file a complaint stating you suspect the cop was impaired.
