Feed the Seed ??

Hey guys,

when do you feed your seedlings?? once they have their first set of leaves or before?? also what do you feed them??

I wouldn't feed until the plant gets it second or third set of leaves, and I would only feed low doses of nutes, definitely not full strength.

Ok, i seed in Rockwool plugs which obviously contains nothing for the plants other than water. Does that affect the feeding schedule??

I'm not an expert but I don't think so. Let them grow in the rock wool until you want to stick them in some soil, if thats the route you're going. Let them establish for a week or so in the soil then start with the feeding. I've started feeding some plants very early and as long as you don't go too hard on the they will be ok. These plants are pretty resilient and put up with a lot of shit. I sometimes trip out on people killing their plants because its like, damn, they must have put that plant through hell to kill it.

If you're going into some sort of hydro setup Im not the guy to guide you then. I still haven't taken that plunge yet.

Nah bro. I go Rockwool to coco and plan on staying that way. Ha ha. Just has a couple of plants grow cabbage leaves and i wondered if I'd starved them.
