Feed weed to weed

I'm trying an experiment. On my last harvest, I cut some of the branches and put in a mason jar with water and brown sugar. I have a fermenting lid and plan on leaving it for 20 or 30 days and then will see if my girls like this. I used one third sugar by weight and filled the rest with spring water. When I usually ferment for kimchi I use sea salt. I didn't think that would be great for these plants. I will see what happens. Anyone think this is a good idea?

If you're growing organic you could just put the leaves on the soil as mulch. The bacteria will eventually break it down and turn it into more food. Plus it will work as a mulch to keep the topsoil moist.

You're going to turn cannabis into compost, and then feed that to your
cannabis? That's cannibalistic cannabis, or I'm not high enough to grok it.

It is just compost. Feed your old lettuce to your cannabis, tomatos, banana
skins, apple cores, coffee grounds, chicken bones, etc. And sugar in water,
no point in that is there? Just chop up the old stems, and throw them into
your compost bin along with everything else. Once you have a nice, dark
compost, mix that in water, make a tea, i guess. I wish i could try growing... :sigh:

i dry my trim and defol waste till its dry enough to crumble, crush it and feed it to mu worms and also use this meal when topdressing but branches themselves wouldnt provide much nutrition for the plant imo.

Fermenting method should get me fertilizer much quicker than compost which I also do. It's cold where I live and need to wait a few months for compost bin to get going. I will be researching KNF and Jadham to help me.
