That sativa is looking mighty tasty, the hairs almost look like they have a pink tint to them. Looking forward to your new strains...especially the god's lemon skunk, blue city diesel, and nuken x white widow as I had never heard of those but after checking the website, they sound amazing. Also really interested in your violator kush since I have a couple seeds of those I've been sitting on for a couple years. Hopefully they stored well because I'd like to try them out one day, I bought them for a reason!

Yeah I will pop 2-4 fem seeds right away(violator Kush being one of them and Dr.Grinspoon) to veg them for a while and the rest will most likely be 12/12 from seed.

I know now to start my seeds about 30 days before I am going to need them, and since the God's Treat is only a 6-7 weeks strain and I got a few of them going at the moment I better stay on top of my shit and start more seeds, not to mention I am waiting on about 6-7 plants to show their sex, I am gonna need other seedlings to replace the males.

I will start some Blue City Diesel right away for sure, you can tell looking at my line up that I am becoming a fan of Jordan of the Island (quick flowering strains, great tastes, great potency!!), I cannot wait to see how they all come out ...

Anyway, I will try to snap a shot or 2 of my room before I go back to work tonight, The Agent Orange is SOooo pretty and fat, no one would ever guess I never veg the thing.

EDIT

Blue Sage looks pretty good too!!
Blue Sage

Blueberry x Sage

Flavourful with sweet and fruity aroma. A short bushy plant that produces huge frosty buds. High quality and very potent with outstanding yield. Sage plant took 2nd place in a Cannabis Cup blind taste test. Finishes in 8 weeks.

Did i just read Dr. Grinspoon! one of my faves I smoked ever..........that bitch requires a shitload of light (which you have:P)/low yielder, but who gives a fuck....first attempt at growing it under led that I've seen/ very interested in how this pans out.....good luck......This strain would have won the cannabis cup if they entered it IMO..

Glad to hear that, I am planning on training her to grow all over the room, sort of amongst everything... she is a low yielder with typical sativa leaves so that should work! I popped the 2 beans, one of them will go 12/12 from seed the other will be veg for 40+days from seed.

smoke report in about ....5 months from now! hehe

I envy your abilities to grow so much and perpetually and garner the quantity. You have a great working knowledge with 12/12. Thanks for sharing it during the party cup grow.

You will enjoy that Papaya if you are into fruity flavors and couch lock buzz, that was one of the first strains I bought and grew. It is a fast finisher also think I had it in flower 6 to 7 weeks at the most.

Thanks Txchillies, I appreciate it, I am finally getting where I want to be, now my goal is simply to get the most out of my setup (yield/potency/taste...)

I snapped a few shots in a hurry, everything is coming along very nicely.

@Iloveplants

I will take pictures of the Oh God (or God's treat, lost track again!!) when its ready to harvest next week most likely, I won't be able to take a picture of the Agent Orange with natural light for a while, I am too busy now going back to work for a few days, then I might be done for the year, not sure, but that would be nice!!. The Agent Orange doesnt fit through the door and the colas are getting heavier (still got a month to go!!!) I wish I could take a nice picture of the whole plant on her own but I am affraid it will never happen! She is tucked in the corner of the room and will not move until it's time for her to get out. I can't get over how fast she is happening, I love her, the smell is some of the best I have ever grown, I touched one bud (I am gonna have to tie that one...)and my partner couldnt believe the orange smell on my fingers. (usually, she thinks my plants stink haha) Luckily, I have a Clone of her that I had taken as she was starting to flower and the clone has finally rooted. Anyway, thanks for you interest Iloveplants, have seen some of your TGA buds and they look stellar.

@Delslow

Thanks a lot Delslow, that means a lot to me, I was skeptical about LEDs as well and even back in April when I bought my first big FERO light I was worry that I wouldnt get the big buds I see all over the internet. Well, needless to say that I am so sold on the technology now, the piece of mind that comes with it is priceless too (I was paranoid about burning my house with the HIDs in my small space) I still consider myself a beginner, so everything will get better overtime, hopefully you will be around to see the Dank.

CHOP CHOP

I had a great morning, I am pleased to announce that the last Sativa that was in the tent will dry to be about 2 oz, so about 12oz from the tent, Very good considering I didnt have the light on full intensity the whole grow and I didnt veg my plants, it was an extremely fast grow especially considering half of the plants were Sativas. She is not as frosty as some other that came out of the tent, but she has the best smell, I cant really describe the smell, very unusual complex sweet smell.

IMG_7627.jpgIMG_7626.jpgIMG_7638.jpgIMG_7636-2.jpgIMG_7634.jpgIMG_7637.jpgIMG_7636.jpgIMG_7633.jpg

I also chopped a SLH that I had started in the cabinet (that is why she is so small) but she has been under the AF-600 (or close enough!!) for quite some time and she has developed a ton of frost, the buds are looking as good as buds get, only not that many of them!!
IMG_7643.jpgIMG_7642.jpgIMG_7631.jpgIMG_7630.jpgIMG_7629.jpgIMG_7631-2.jpgIMG_7639.jpgIMG_7643-2.jpg

I hope the close ups are at the right place, but basically very frosty = SLH!!

That's all for now, thank you all for watching and Happy Growing!! :bigjoint:

The Tent:

Agent orange are doing very well, I moved 2 agent orange (just showed their sex, lovely woman) from the room to the tent, so I ll have 4 Agent Orange in the tent for now.

You can also see a One Eyed Wankers (formerly known as Miel) from Spain (in the plastic container, very left of the picture at the bottom), it's an Outdoor strain but I am growing it indoor. I had 2 plants in the container and one of them was male, I am almost certain than the male was Oh God but I ll have to wait and see. Hopefully someone can step in and confirm that indeed, it is a OEW.

IMG_7668.jpg

One of the Agent Orange got hurt when I tied her down, lovely ladybugs working hard for me as well!!

The 2 K-trains, very similar to the previous run only I was around to train them a little bit this time:

I transplanted 6 God's Lemon Skunk, hoping for at least 1 female per container:

Endur0xX thanks for all your excellent posts.. was planning on going 12/12 from speed the only thing i wasn't sure on was which nuts to use, but after reading your posts I’ll defiantly give supersoil a go for my first grow, keeping it organic also sounds great..

Hope you don’t mind but I’m going to hit you up with some advice for my future setup.

I'd like to do a perpetual using one tent only.
Tent size of 4.5 x 4.5 x 6.5 or 4 x 4 x 6 feet.

Working within the above space, what LED light setup would you go for?

I was thinking a total of around 550-600w draw, however not sure what would be better having 1 or multiple lights.
Having multiple lights would allow me to move them up and down as plants get pulled out and get added in.

So the light choices are 2 x 300w or 3 x 200w or something like the AF-600.

Would you go for the slightly larger tent to allow more room for larger pots?
What is the max amount of plants you would run in the space?

Again thanks for all the posts and your video on youtube rocked!!

Thanks for stopping by Smacko.

Good call on going the Supersoil route for your first grow, if you follow Subcool's instructions with the SS, you will grow A1 buds from the start. Even though I posted my recipe at some point in my thread, I would recommend using Subcool's recipe for your first run because I am not sure what I am doing

As far as light goes, there are a lot of good products, some pricier than others and some are poor quality and it can be difficult to chose the right brand for you. I have been very satisfied with my FERO lights and they also have lifetime warranty. Brent at FERO mentioned in an email to me that they will stop selling to end user, so that might be why you cannot see the prices on their website at the moment. AREA 51 has been working in partnership with FERO and they carry the same lights.

Personally, my goal is to grow big potent buds and I prefer to have more light per sq/ft than needed, so in your 4x4 room I would shoot for 800watts. If you are simply trying to have an economic/efficient grow (power wise) and being that the price per watt is more or less the same if you buy small or big units, I would strongly recommend putting the extra 100$ and get 4 x A51-90 as opposed to an AF-600, that is if you want 600W in the 4x4. It also depends on your budget I guess but if you plan to slowly upgrade your setup overtime, the AF-600 makes for an excellent main light source and eventually you can add side lighting.

Also 4 lights will give you much better coverage than 2 in a 4x4 squre, aso if you are not buying the AF-600 I think I would go with 4 smaller units.

If you have a good setup (24/7 fresh air in the room via carbon filter and inline fan) and a dehumidifier, you could grow as many as 9-12 plants in 7 gallons container, but it will depend on strain, I can tell you right now 4 Agent Orange in 10 gallons 12/12 from seed would fill my 4x5 space!!! So it really depends on the strain and only time and experience will tell you what to do, I am a beginner too keep that in mind!

Good luck and thanks for you comments :bigjoint:

EDIT:

I should add, whether you have 1 or 4 lights, you will probably find that you dont need to move them. I dont move my lights I train my plants.

Regarding the size of the tent, more space is always better, it's a real pain to water my plants sometimes... its more about what is it that you want out of your grow, realistically, you should get at least 1oz per sq/ft on your first grow with SS, I got 12oz from my 3x3 tent on my last run and it seems to me like it will not be hard to do that again, and thats without veggin my plants too. So if you want 1 lbs every 3 months, you will need to stay on top of your shit and keep that 4x4 space loaded.

Endur0xX thanks for the feedback. multiple small lights sounds good...

sure are a lot of brands around, will defiantly go with one that has proved results like fero/area 51.

i will be sticking to Subcool's recipe, hoping i can find everything on it.
just wondering if you do the 6 bag mix like in the recipe post and how many pots you will be able to add the super concentrate to?

I was thinking i'd probably need to buy a smaller tent like 2x2x6 for drying adding spend money on another carbon filter and inline fan.. really want to keep the smell levels down.
Endur0xX do you handle the drying? any tips?

good Questions!! here is what I have been doing lately: I have a small cabinet sitting right next to my tent(could be anything really...) that I use to dry my buds on a window screen and a small portable fan. Here is what I do with the smell, I pretty much sealed my tent, covered all the holes except the one at the bottom for air intake. In that hole, I used 4'' ducting that is hooked on my drying cabinet. So all the air that goes in my drying room makes it's way to my tent which has a carbon filter. So you really only need one fan/filter. in a 4x4 I think I would go for 6'' though. Let me know if that's not clear enough.

Not sure how sub does it, in my recipe I use promix 3.8 cu.ft. bags... but basically make the full batch and store it garbarge bins, whatever you don't need now will only be better later, only you should make a compost tea before you use it if it sat for a while because anaerobic bacteria will dominate it, you want to replenish it with aerobic bacteria. I have not been doing this yet but that would be the proper way to do it. You will have enough soil for at least 2 runs I am guessing.

Dont buy a tent for this!! out of a 4x4 grow space you will not need a big drying room, a cardboard box would do!!

yeah Endur0xX i get you about the dry cab, just pipe the air back to your tent... i guess you could use just about anything (30 gal bin/box with screens in it) to do the drying in and long as there's airflow and the smelly air gets taken to your tent.

thanks again, learned a lot of this thread!!

Agent Orange!! :

Anyone knows if the yellowing of the leaves is cal-mag deff? I dont think she could be fading from lack of food already, it's too soon and she is in a 10 gallons. Anyway I gave her a little cal-mag / nutes boost last night and I will see how she reacts to it. I am so worry about her I really want to bring her to harvest as healthy as possible, the smell is TO DIE FOR ORANGE.
IMG_7834.jpgIMG_7833.jpgIMG_7674.jpgIMG_7835.jpgIMG_7840.jpgIMG_7836.jpg

The rest of it is coming along very nicely, The indicas are short but they got fat buds on them and I will have to take the microscope on some of them tonight! The K-trains are going to be much better than the previous run only because I controlled the canopy early enough, but I am not sure I like this strain at all, the smell is nothing special and the leaves to buds ratio is poor, very hairy. We'll see how they finish but I will not grow K-train again.

Hey Endo! Can we get a closeup of the leaves your talking about? Or are you speaking of the girls with the yellow blotches on her leaves on the far right of photo #1?

I don't see any signs of cal/mag issues endur0. It would be more like rust on the leaves. I don't see any yellowing either brother. Just a couole shades of lighter green on a couple leaves, nothing to worry about at the moment. Could be some N levels dropping? Everything is looking great!

Thanks for the input puff, everytime I see something wrong with my plants I think it's cal-mag deff because I dont use it and most people growing with LEDs are struggling with calmag deff? hmm...

anyway, N deff is what I suspected too, I put a little bit of fish hydrolysate for Nitrogen only I dont think I put enough to really make a difference. If she keeps yellowing I ll hit her hard with it, I got about 10 days to feed her (but I dont think I will need to give her much, mostly compost teas), after the 15th its going to be plain water until the end, I want her to be all yellow when I harvest but now it's too soon!!
