fertilizing necessary

hi im growing outdoors this summer and i have 2 questions:

1) is their a way to keep the odor down when the plants are growing. i once heard something about coffe beans but im not sure if that would actually work

2) i no if you were growing in pots you would have to but im growing in the ground and im wondering is it an absolut necessity to fertilize. wouldn't the ground have all the nutrients already in it.

^ this is what i was just gonna make a thread about.. i'd like to know also..if your growing in the soil, lets say mountain soil/mixed with moistercontrol MG pot mix! I just transplanted mine today! so anxious now LOL, but i was digging up the soil and it was rich and still alittle damp from a wierd snow storm 2 weeks ago. would it be good to use veg and flower solutions mixed in water to water them outside for an extra kick.. or would the soil i have them in now be all they need from start/finish?

1) I have no clue, but some strains supposedly smell less than others.
2) Depends entirely on the soil. What type of ground are you growing in? Having said that, you should be using some fertlizer in the water.

i heard something about puting coffe beans around the area but i just thought the only thing that would probably do is attract bugs and little damn pest......that reminds me if you spray pesticide and stuff like that around and on your plants will it kill the plants?
thanks

Ya cant controll the smell. Let a skunk spray all over and then put coffee beans down what are ya goin to smell? SKUNK The ground does have plenty of nutes in it. Ya can give it a boost when veging and when its flowering.

not much you can do about smell but it smells good anyway =) and personally using hydroponic nutrients during veg and bloom, plus a little PK near the end give you some great results, monsters if you let them go!

thanks for the answeres.......so to my understanding now you can't really do much about the smell. my other question and i think chuq had the same question is if you use pesticides to spray on your plants to kill the little mother fuckers, then will it harm/kill your plants? i've read it does and ive read it doesnt and im not sure. if it does harm your plants, what do you use? i already have a plan to kill the big animals such as deer and such.......i shaving my head and im putting all the hair around my grow site, also im making a perimeter of piss everytime i visit the site. you can comment on this to if you think their is a better idea...thanks everyone
