Fertilizing

How often woudl you put fertilizer in with water when your plants flowering?

I do it every time I water but at 1/4 strength and after I've already watered heavily to the point of runoff.

an easy rule of thumb is fert for 2 days water for 4. thats how i do it to keep fom over ferting.
