Few last minute questions

So I have a few questions about some things. So I bought lights that were only 4100k where would I get some better ones. A cool white light does this mean it's used for flowering cause it seems a bit yellow at the start. There was no k rating on them. So what kinda soil should I grab to do this grow and what kinda nutes do you guys recommend. And how often do you water seedlings

Not sure on soil or nutes for soil cause im a hydro guy. The one thing I do know about growing in soil is that you should water the plants when the soil has completely dried up. By doing this will make your roots search for more water making them and your plants grow. Also by watering too much will cause you root rot. Make sure to put some sort of drainage in your pots that your soil and plant will be in so the water has somewhere to go instead of sitting in the bottom of your pot. Hopefully someone else will tune in and help you out with the rest. Cheers mate let us know what you decide on getting and how things turn out. Good luck!

Fox farms ocean forest and the fox farms grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom are great soil and nutrients to start with. I got my cfls at home depot but they didn't have any 6000k or 6500k so I just start under 2700k and it gets the job done fine. As for watering seedlings, I water my soil down thoroughly a day before and then plant the seedling and you don't water until it gets dry and the pot feels light.

Daylight is usually 6500k and soft white is usually 2700k, when I did a hydro grow a couple of years ago I just used grow big and big bloom with shitty lighting and it did good. So the ocean forest, grow big, big bloom and tiger should be pretty good.

4100k lamps will do just fine.

you can buy higher K or lower K cfls later.

always get the best soil you can get (darkbrown-black in color, fluffy with a bit of perlite, ph 6 or around there, with lots of nutrients (but no slow release shit))

keep the seedlings moist till they get true leaves, then you can have them dry out a bit more before watering.

its easy peasy stuff, there is a reason why they call cannabis weed, it grows like one (tough plants)

eh, water the seedlings good.

then water when the soil is just a tad moist.

then when get true leaves, water when the topsoil is dry.

though, if you grow with organics, you never want to let the soil dry out completely

but if you use chemical nutes, you want to let the soil get bonedry in between waterings (if the plant is large enough (2-3 set of leaves))
