Final phase flushing?

I just got my first bottle of final phase and it says on the directions use x amount of it per gallon of water. Then continue for 7-10 days. Does this really mean i have to flush this plant everyday. Seems kinda harsh to flush everyday. Shouldnt i just flush it once and wait 5 days and harvest?????

Alright dude... Thisis how it works... It's simple.

Mix up the suggested amount of Final Phase per gallon, and saturate the soil with the Final Phase... This isn't a flush watering, just enough for a little runoff...

Now wait for an hour or two and let the Final Phase do its job...

(It breaks up the excess salts and nutes in the soil)

After an hour, do a flush watering... Lot's of runoff... 2 - 5 times the container size.

That's it, they shouldn't need another watering before harvest... So...

No, just water once, it should be enough to flush out the soil.

Ok I don't know how everyone does it or how you're 'suppose' to do it.
But I used it, then a couple days later when the soil was dry used it again, then plain water.
My shit turned out real clean and smooth, but idk.

i guess the answer is water every other day and water until there's a little runoff... not excessive flushing, your plant will feel overwatered.

No no no no no no....

What you're suggesting is to overwater your plant by not giving the soil the chance to dry...

Never in the cycle to you want to water on a daily chart instead of when they need watering.

And the idea of a flush is the rinse the soil so you'll need lots of runoff...

Watering a whole lot brings fresh oxygen to the roots and rinses built up salts out the bottom...

You'll always want to water until you get some runoff, then wait until the soil is almost completely dry, then repeat...

no no no no no, i did not say water EVERY day i said water EVERY OTHER DAY, which is actually about the amount of time it takes MY soil to dry... he should use hydrogen peroxide and straight water to bring fresh oxygen to his roots

ok i didnt go back and flush again. im just going to wait another day or 2 and flush with water again and then when that dry's ill harvest

Overwatering doesn't happen from putting too much water in the soil...

It happens from watering before the soil dries out, too often

That's why saying water every other day, or water once a week isn't good advice.

***Water when the pots are light...

*** Water until some runoff comes out the bottom...

*** Wait until the soil is dry/light and water again...

That's as best as I can instruct anyone on watering a plant... Jeeze.

Don't keep the soil saturated with water, it needs time to dry out...

I try to keep the moisture level of a wrung out sponge.

ya aj, it has no chem's. dunno 4sho but i think 15 gallons is wayyyyyyyyyyy to much. try final phase and read the directions. its like 3 gallons

well its proabably is it if you got final phas e but i read that its suppose to be 3x the amount of soil so 5 gallons needed 15 gallons of water its all run off so it didnt hurt it as long as you allow the soil to dry but im trying to cut down on the watrer cause I pay a water bill last time I used 90 gallons of water...lmao

Yeah, I agree that 15gallons is too much, but it's really not too much...

It depends on the toxicity of the soil...

Some people run 25 gallons through a 5 gal for a flush...

Just trying to reaffirm that it's not how much water you put into the soil that overwaters it, it's how often you water...

My method is to saturate with a flushing agent... Wait 2 hours... And rinse the soil with plain water...

I grow in a light mix 50/50 perlite and peat, in 5gal buckets...

I add about a gallon of the flushing mix to saturate the soil, then rinse with 5 gallons... I peak low, and don't have much buildup...

Some people who use organics don't find a flush to be necessary...

But flushing your plants will definately give them a cleaner burn.

Huh

No... I mix it at the suggested rate... The 1 ounce per gallon or whatever...

Think of it as presoaking your dirty dishes with soap, so the crud will easily rinse out...

It's basically the same deal, you use the Final Phase, at the suggested rate, then rinse the soil with plain water...

Never pour a concentrate directly into your soil
