Final week before cutting...

I'm cutting my plants Saturday...I was wondering if any of you do anything differently for the final week like extended dark periods or cutting down watering a few days before cutting? This is my first harvest so I was curious if there was any tricks for a quicker or better way to prepare them for the drying and curing process.

A molasses/banana tea then nothing else until chop.
