I was actually going to add the cutting part as well...Good idea to give them more room but just make sure you keep an eye on directing them...

Im just sayin..Your not supposed to let any light leak in what so ever during the dark period or they will turn hermiw on ya..and a full moon as the same possibilty of turning outdoor plants into hermie as well..

Yea, i can't wait to see how well they do. How long have they been flowering now? And it was mentioned earlier about light not being needed under the screen. Only when the screen has filled completely is the light not needed under the screen. But at the beginning of the flowering you would want as much light as you can get under the screen so it will help promote new growth. By the time all the stretching is done in the first few weeks of flowering, the new growth can just poke up through the screen. I am really stoned right now so i dint know if i said all that right. I just got done rebuilding in my grow room and i just built my screen that is shaped like a half pipe. So all the buds will be exactly the same distance from the light. I am only using a 250w HPS in a cooltube so i can get the light real close to the plants. I am gowing to put 4 plants under the screen in about a week or so. I just want to get the biggest yeild possible with the 250w. This will let me know if i should move up to a 400w or just get another 250w and do another grow exactly the same just a month apart. I will post a pic tonight of my setup if you want.

heck yes I wanna see your setup...I switched it to 12/12 about five days ago or so now...so I should have a bit of growth yet till she stops and I need to have it filled as much as possible. i was reading about the whole concave setup like yours and I am interested to see what happens when the they start budding...i figured that way may be harder to keep the buds from touching but I dunno. I will keep you all updated and if for some reason I lose track of this thread you can find it in my journal in my sig.
thanks for the help...i am lookin for all the tips I can get:mrgreen:

OK, when the lights come on i will take a few pics of my setup. I am vegging 4 plants right now in another grow area and they will be ready to go under the screen in about a week or so. So i can only take pics of the setup without plants in it. But as soon as i get the new plants under the screen i will start a grow journal to keep people updated on how it does. I will post pics in about 3 hours.

Here you go honkeytown. Here are some pics of my new setup. I will have 4 plants under it and the total screen area is 6.1sqft. I will have my plants moved in here in about 10 more days.

nice setup!! So does the Duct tubes just point towards where the plants are going to be then just lead out somewhere else? I never got how the duct tubes worked...

Man you really should ditch the whole milk crate idea, just use chicken wire. When its time to crop and dry out your weed, what are you gonna do? Just start ripping it out or cutting the crate or bud appart while wet? It would get mangled.

Chicken wire keeps the main leafs under while letting light through to them and letting your buds get big, and when you finish, you cut away the chicken wire quite easily. That crate is too dark inside, your plants would seriously love getting out of that thing.

Might wanna do a little more research on scrog.

no no no...I am just gonna cut each cola off as I am trimming...the same way I do all of my harvests....then after I cut off all the colas coming through I will just pick up the crate...simple as that...as far as lighting issues go...the pics dont show really how much light is getting through...the plant has already turned fully upward toward the light...I will post pics in a few minutes to show you guys....the plant is actually still getting lots of light. and i cut some of the holes to squares but stopped halfway...i am gonna wait till it gets a little bigger cause the small holes hold the branches in place a little better
