So I have had my plant growing around two weeks and its a little stringy(I know). I have been researching all that I can and have decided to go with CFLs. I currently have a flourescent flood light over my two plants but I realised that wouldnt cut it ha. Im going to be going with about 5 24 watt day light CFLs. Im growing in my closet. I leave the door open now(I wasn't doing so until about 3 days ago). I have a revolving fan that is blowing on the plants just slightly to try and circulate air and thicken the stems. The walls are painted white and I have been watering just when they are dry. I have also only been watering with purified water. PLEASE let me know if this should work out for me and please include and tips as well as recomend any products that might help. Thanks.:weed:

ive never seen such tall sproutlings! looks like more light could be used. i think theyre stretching so much to get closer to the light source. but u said u will be adding more so thats good. sounds good with your ventilation too.

Here are the recommended tips:

Fill in the rest of your pots/cups with soil, clear to the top. This will give the stems extra strength, otherwise they will collapse shortly and then will be doomed.

Move the CFL closer, with a breeze from a fan you should be able to get them about 3 inches away from the plant.

Just say NO on the 24 watt daylight bulbs and get the 40 watt daylite bulbs. The plants will thank you for the extra lumens. Still get 4 - 6 of them.

This will keep you busy for a couple days and then we can move on.

a common tip is to put your hand under the light and where it doesnt get burned thats where you should place your plants (height wise). If the lights burn you it will burn your plant too.
