First bong!

This weekend I will be finally buying my first bong! Right now me an my wife have only smoked from joint,blunt,pipe,vape, and one drunken night from a Coke can. I need some advice on a few things.

1. Type of bong (multi chamber? ice bong? glass bong? metal bong?)

2. Size (does it really matter?)

3. Tips on using one? lol

Glass is the only way to fly... just get a glass on glass, I like pure bongs, some perfer roor bongs.

use ice chills the smoke,first time dont pack the bowl on your first hit.and enjoy

I recommend glass as well. Depending on your budget bongs can get pricey. I personally like one 18" to 2 feet.

Its really personal preference.

I highly recommend glass(I think nearly all stoners will agree on that)
Also- to compliment your nice glass bong, get some nice glass jacks, they serve as a screen but they are inert and can be used indefinitely. It'll probably get real rezzed, and they are kinda easy to lose.

It you are in CA or CO, check out dementia. They are the official roor distribuiter. Roors are very good and not too badly priced. you can be out the door with a good one for under 300$. Not bad. Other good companies are Toro (expensive but way worth it) and SG (soverignty glass)

I agree with everyone on Getting glass. I'm not near any shops so I build mine out of plastic. I'm in process of building one that will probably be over kill. I't a 4 foot flourescent light tube cover that I plugged at the end. I have a 1/2" platic tube that runs from the stem down into the water so that you can light it your self with a normal lighter. I made the stem from pen pieces and an air chuck part that fit perfectly inside the pen. It's a pull carb using a larger pen that the stem fit into and seals. I'll post pics of the build, I had to cut 6" from the last one I built because the down tube wasn't long enough. I only have 5 dollars in it total cost.

I have been wanting one of these forever, but other financial shit keeps getting in the way. Both have 5mm glass with two perculators for less than $200. Quality meets affortability.

My bong is 13" tall and green. I love it.

I don't like ice in my bong. Room temp water, maybe cold water from the tap.

If you want ice, look for a bong with an ice catcher that suspends the ice in the air. Ice water makes for nasty assty hits, IMO.

everyonedoesit is good but they only have german models. There is a Roor US.

i don't know what position you are in but it may be hard to buy a bong sometimes. It could take a while to find something but DO NOT SETTLE.

And don't just go into any smoke shop and ask for the most expensive bong. Man, oh, man, I have seen some scams. Educate yourself on good manufacutrers. I like U.S. tubes too, they are made in US (duh) and come in a variety of thickness. Like they have a nice thick ass 9mm toob. Also 5mm and 7mm, but those are more standard.

Bongs, headies, etc. Be careful you will see the word SICK posted more than ever before. or SSSSIIIICCCKKKK. that is pretty much all you are allowed to say without getting your post removed.

www.glasspipes.org is also really cool. This site to is mostily about headies, you are probably just looking for a standard glass piece like all of us. They have some cool stuff to drool over. Very nice.

All my bongs are just clear, that is really the way to go, then invest some good money into a heady slide (bowl) and you will have a nice setup. Also look into getting those k clips (spelled different i know) they are awsome.

Some places just don't have a good glass scene, or any for that matter. If you are in CA, CO, NY, or around those state you will be ok, but some places you could make a journey out of picking up a good glass piece.

Like I said in my other post, I like dementia, they wont stear you wrong really, and you can check out the high end stuff that no one can afford.

Good started company is Roor, they even have some good bowls by mike fro. Roors are available is quite a few stores these days so you should have good luck.

Just look around, I am not trying to advertise for any one particular shop, it just depends where you are at really.

OK.. I'm an old timer who has literally thrown out maybe 18 bongs over time. I've had tall ones, long ones, plastic, ceraimc, wooden single tube hookah, ceramic 4 tube hookah and on and on.

When I found the last bong I ever needed, I knew it. You will just see the pipe and know it. I settled on a very classy GLASS (don't waste your time with the other crap. glass is IT) double bubbler. It's only about 8" tall, very difficult to clean and gorgeous. Go to any head shop and check their stock. Find the glass piece you like, buy yourself some Formula 420 for cleaning, go home and smoke it.

GLASS IS THE ONLY WAY. It is $$$, but the other shit retains all sorts of shit over time that makes your smoke less enjoyable.

I am thinking about a way to keep glass as clean as possible.

I think I got it, maybe I will try to make it tommrow.

Just a big res that you can submerge your piece in filled with cleaner. They have the cleaner were you soak your glass then rinse it with hot water and it is as good as new.

That is the best stuff but if you just use it one time and dump it you waste it. It is also hard to get every spot if you just have a little of the cleaner. And if you submerge it you will get it clean everywhere.

So maybe a rubbermaid bin with an airstone and a pump to keep the water moving and non stagnet. It would also offer some motion to the water to clean the glass that way too.

I think it would be a good idea and clean glass is always the healthiest, not to mention nicest looking.

Definatley go with glass, unless your gonna be takin it everywhere with you, glass is the only way. But if your gonna be a bong person it'll find you, just glance through wat your accesible to (online or in stores) and Im sure a certain bong will pop out to you. And if your willing to spend some $$ get some cleaning products for it, but stick to something simple first, maybe with an ice pinch. I hope to pick myself up a nice bong once I find my new place. Good luck on finding your bong.

I like to fill the upper portion of my bongs with snow (or finely chopped ice...but snow is just more fun) for extra smoke cooling. It's the smoothest rip you'll ever take, but you have to watch the water level as snow melts a little quicker than ice.

I've been wanting the first bong you linked for the longest time! If i ever get I will post pics on here for you to see dude

I am into the basic bongs. I have glass and acrylic, both work fine. The acrylic is nice for throwing in the vehicle for camping trips as I don't have to worry about it breaking. The glass definitely is the better of the two for smoking ease though.

I am into basic. I paid $50 cash for my glass and like $15 for the acrylic. I have another smaller acrylic for travel as well, but it seems to have sprouted legs...
