First bud

Hey, my plant is finally ready and i took off my first home grown bud. I'm pretty fuckin excited. I had a couple questions about curing the bud, and i apologize beforehand because i know there have been a million threads about this. Alright, from knowledge gained while lookin on the internet, one way is to hang the buds upside down for about a week. Is it this easy? Does it only take a week? Are there anythings i need to be aware of before harvesting the rest of plant? And i just wanted to say that this website helped me everystep of the way. I don't know what i would have down without help from experienced potheads. Thanks alot

I also heard about water curing. Have you looked into that?

If i am just taking a "taste" not cutting it all I hang it for a couple of days and usually it will be dry enough to smoke doesnt taste quite as good as being patient but it will smoke curing sounds good to me but i am just too impatient so i will store them in shoebox for a little while 5-6 days and start smoking... 1 note though I hav had a few o.k at best grows very loose buds so if you did things right and you have nice compact buds may take longer

Dude, if you are that excited about your bud, invest the extra time and dry and cure it right.... It will smoke much better and is always worth the wait (even though it seems to take a lifetime)!!

Hang it until the stem almost snaps...then cut the buds off and put em in a Mason jar. Open the jar everyday and take the buds out for 15 minutes until it is the proper dryness...then jar it up and leave it sealed. Smoke as needed.
