cuttings taken from a flowering plant will produce " monster plants " ie.crazy branching

2700k is ideal for flowering

yeah i was hoping on getting some stuff of htcsupply.com they have pretty cheap DIY ballast with bulbs only prob is no reflector but ill build one either way. you can get a 1oow hps ballast for $100 i think. Im gonna get a 400 because they dont carry 600w hps DIY. yeah well would these lights still benefit? or just waste light?

your plants will love the Hid lights no problem...what you mean by wasted light? long as you have a reflector your good.

Hid's get better penetration to whole plants. just have to have em farther away...do you have any height restrictions

400 w hps 12-14" from top of canopy
600 w hps 16-18" from top of canopy

well if i go all the way to the top of my stealth drawer i have like 6-7 inches off the top of my plants im at 4-5 right now should i move up more i can post a pic with a ruler next to it to give you an idea.

so they can only grow a few more inches? cause you will need way more height for an Hps.

are they on a shelf or a cabinet? will you be able to get more height, by lowering shelf or something...if not you may be stuck with what you have.

well they are in a cabinet the problem is the resovoir takes like 2 ft, all i can do is push the plant down more where i took clones if not ill tie down some branches to shorten it.its at week 2-3 of flowering i just switched to hps 2 days ago.

what size hps? ok ...i missed that one...:wall: my bad 3 x 100 w hps. those can be at 6" from tops of plants...and you can tie down a few of the taller branches just be careful not to go too far...little here and there as needed.

well i expect alot of side branching because i have like 200w of cfl on the side of the plants so i hope it grows sideways to keep it short. what do you think is it still gonna shoot up in height?

your at 2-3 weeks flowering, probably will not get to much taller...but could stretch for another week at most... think you will be ok with what you have now...3x100hps on top and cfl all around ... yah that's plenty :)

if needed just tie a few of the taller branches down a bit ... and keeping your lights at 6" from tops.

you can also raise the other plant to get an even canopy...level.

yeah that was the next q i was gonna ask stages of flowering as in stretching,weight gaining thc production and so on any ideas?

Should start to see them buds starting filling out soon... 2-4 weeks they stretch and buds develop, 3-5 weeks no more stretch... buds grow and thc production , 5-7 buds should start to swell up, and last week or so ....(Thc) final ripen...juices flow...well for a 8 week strain. apx.

after LST.jpgafter LST2.jpgafter LST3.jpgso this is the plant after the lst i just tied down every other branch to open out and get the canopy open for further light penetration. can i expect a bigger yield this way? i know i wont have any popcorn atleast.

well RIU this dick of a friend of mine robbed me on Christmas while i was out of town so sorry to say this is the grow that will never be finished stupid ass left the pump to the airstone in my house so most likely the plants are dying now:( i found my stuff at his moms house but there still is stuff gone so where gonna press charges on him.well ill stay posted on the fourms for a while but i wont post future grows until we move from this shit hole of a town.

sorry to hear man. It is why when I do anything with planting I tell no one. I have pretty good friends I would like to think, but a few I could see doing something like that with such high yields upon harvesting! Hope you stay connected here; would love to hear more in the future.
