Wow, nice little garden. I set up an aeroponic system and am in 2nd week of vegging, using 400w mh bulb at the time with ac blowing and room kept at 74 deg.
my best plants are already 10-12" over the basket now but my top leaves are better than 7 " long/wide. Any feedback on what i should do with these fan leaves,Can I get the same result with flourescents?

that sounds awesome, well what i did was i cut any fan leaves that were too big, or in the way of any branches because when i started flowering the fan leaves were covering up three bottom brances that were getting no light and i didnt think they could grow to full potential and produce good buds if blocked, as for flourescents...the 42s will work great if you have three to...whatever number pleases you, after this grow im getting an HPS and keeping the flouros for seedlings, clones, maybe veg for a few unless i get a metal halide, but yea flouros will work good if positioned right and in the right number and wattage but still dont get the results of a MH or HPS, but if substitution is necessary they will do the job, If i were you i would add a few 42 watt CFLs for side lighting along side the MH or even all CFL if you want but the MH id say would be better, adding side lighting and inbetween the plants helps tons, but if you have the budget id say keep the mh for veg and get an hps for flowering, if not you can use CFLs you just need at least 3-6 of em, the more the better.
