Ok so i transplanted - the roots were almost rootbound (when i pulled it out they had just started to clump at the bottom) So into its new pot and i think it will make a good recovery from the transplant.

When can i clip some clones?

Provide it with enough water/nutes and you'll find that "rootbound" is really just a state of mind. You can grow some very impressive buds in party cups and trimmed down 20oz bottles.

For clones, clip the lowest/longest branch(es) when they are 3-ish inches long...right before you're going to throw the main plant into flower. After you've vegged the clone and are about to toss it into the flower chamber, take another clone the same way (from this clone plant)

Kept up, you can have a permanent harvest SOG without needing to keep a mom!

12 hours of dark is what gives the roots time to build up enough flowering hormone to hit critical level and start actually budding.

Any lesser amount of dark time can pretty safely be considered vegitative. Reguardless of how much dark time you decide to use, pick one and stick with it...plants don't enjoy their day/night cycles being screwed with any more than you do (anyone changing jobs from 1st shift to 3rd shift or vice versa knows what I'm talking about here)

As soon as light hits the plant to kick off photosynthesis, this hormone level quickly drops.

Ok here is today's and yesterdays updates. I clipped a clone and last night and so far its still green and happy - how long on average does a clone take to root?

Which type of light should i invest in for a bigger crop out of the two HID's for the best yield?

looks like your grow is coming along nicely, this is my second CFL grow, dont be turned off from flowering with CFLS if you dont wanna have to run extra exhaust to keep the heat down which you will have to do if you get a HID, Metal Halide is best for veg-ing and High Pressure Sodium is best for flowering, if your gonna go that route, i am 5 weeks into veg with CFLS right now, check my baby out if u want, might give you a few pointers! anyways good luck!!!!

it takes about 2 weeks for a clone to root. make sure to keep it humid in the area that clone is in and keep it foilier fed.

cant tell but to me that clone looks like jus a leaf....what did u cut off
I just took a lower section - i most likely have done it wrong. Il take some more when i put it into flowering.

Im looking into HPS lamps - Im in canada so i found a site called illumaLights.com

They sell LED HPS MH and some other things - has anyone heard about this company? Would their Ballasts be of good quality? They operate out of Burnaby BC and BC is known for some good hydroponics stuff. Any help would be excellent!

I will post pictures of the plant tommorow.
