that was a rude comment. no one asked anything about how much weight was going to be lost during drying.
people should try to be more nice on here. people here are becoming more like everyday assholes, well, everyday.:(

How was that rude???
I'm sure quad didn't take it that way. After all he/she says this is the 1st grow and thanks everyone for there help.
All that Waff. was saying was real info-down to the point. Mabe quad didn't know that info.
I'm sure quad will enjoy what ever smoke he/she grows (1st grow-1 to 2 plants with cfls is just good times) watching there seeds turn into baby girls and turning into smoke-:joint::mrgreen:
It not like Waff. told he/she had a ugly kid- That would be rude.
Nice grow bro- Keep up the good work.
It takes a village to teach a kid-
GLG-Peace:peace:

Damn that's pretty awesome shit for cfl's, good job, at this point I would be very happy with a yield like that as I'm using cfl's and this is also my first grow, I recently started flowering and soo can't wait to see what I end up with.

Thanks for sharing your cfl harvest with us!

Regardless, the comment wasn't needed, it's commonsense .. what is wet shrinks when dry, such as the good old redwood tree (wood), I'm sure he is aware of that.

yeah, they shriveled up quite a bit... and we now have them curing in some mason jars... but as soon as we cut them, they began to smell like hay, Is that normal?
will the cure bring the grapefruit smell back?

exactly the reason why i told him it will shrink so that he can try other methods of growing such as with hps lighting. I don't know about you guys but my first harvest nobody told me that it was going to shrink and i got dissapointed everyday looking at it shrink because i thought i got some major wieght by the "looks" of it.

I'd love hps, and I've recently found myself a job so there's a chance it will be happening. trying to get a dro setup, if it all pans out, a few months from now I'll be harvesting some big healthy bitches. but for now, I'm just excited to smoke the shit out of my baby.

im not really sure if he is aware of the redwood lol. but anyways the point i was making is that some new growers come in here ask a million ? and then get pissed if we miss one little point and then flame us with stupid crap. so sometimes the harsh truth is better knowing than not i guess but anyways nice grow looks like some good shit about the same as my first cfl grow:blsmoke:
NICE WORK! and oyea they will smell funny at first its normal its the sugars and cloro breaking down it will smell alot nicer in week or 2:mrgreen:

Mr I Can Do That For Half
The hay thing is the chlorophyll break down. Basically you cut her down do a leave manicure then hang the whole plant updise down with a fan in a dark area for about 9 days then you can cut the buds from the stalks and place them in a paper bag for 2-3 days then they go into jars for 12 day minimum opening the lid once a day for an hour.
