Hi 2 all ! (BobMarley.gif) :D
This is my 3 grow
I’m growing in coco+perlite , sog , 4 weeks of veg, switched to 12/12 1week ago
Didn’t do defoliation right before switching... (I think that’s bad). Could you please give some advice - when can I do my first defoliation, and what leaves I must cut(I attached photos).
Another thing I’d like to know is , when should i install scrog ?
I must do both defoliation and scrog , cause I have 130+ plants and don’t want problems with moisture and popcorn.

Yeah bro, Maybe next grow I’ll do it. Now I have what I have. From topics that I read, was sayin, that defoliation must be done on 1,25,45 days of 12/12. Should I defoliate on 25 day of flowering or what? I just want those upper buds to be heavy as f—k, to maintain good airflow for moisture profilactics.

Suggested reading of those who do not defoliate then so you can see that what your reading isnt the great set of info it thinks it is.

You really don't need to defoliate looking at your grow, when you overgrow then need to cut back it's great but yours haven't and lack of training has left a more Christmas tree style that wants all its leaves left on.

You can read and it does seem like defoliating is essential but it's not it's just everyone writes so much it becomes more prevalent than what it should.

Hey gust thx a lot, I have same setup (130 plants, same light (3kw of led)), in another room ,and have done massive defoliation yesterday, after 9 days of 12/12 in second room.
It will be interesting to see the difference with/without defoliation. I’ll post some photos after bud developening in both rooms.
Defoliation in my case is a “pill” to avoid moisture and popcorn buds. I’ll have to trim it alone, and I’m too lazy to mess up with pop corn
Good day to everybody !!

Hi guys!
2 weeks from 12/12, and girls looks really good and healthy
This is the room (130+plants) , 3.2 kw of cree and quantum board led light, where I didn’t do defoliation and scrog, and they’re getting too bushy and big
It’s hard to even give them nutes (I do it every second day (1-0-1-0-1-0).
Can someone tell me, when can I defoliate them?
It’s just too many buds and leaves, they just eat and drink like crazy (1.8 EC no problems)
I’m afraid about mold problems in the late flowering weeks

Are they all the same strain ?

I defoliate on days 1 and 21 of flower, I clip every leaf that's not growing out of a bud spot. Everything with a stem showing.

I just took two clones each from 20 plants that have been in veg for 2+ months because they started showing a deficiency right before I flipped them. They are insanely overgrown. It’s probably going to take all day, but I’ll prune all of the garbage branches and defoliate about the same amount as you tomorrow. I’ll take a before and after picture to break the hearts of all the defoliation haters in here.
