So im new to this whole logging your grow in a forum thing but I think im gonna like everyones input and ideas!!!

I germinated 2 Grand Daddy Purple seeds, Got them to crack and planted them in soil, I waited about 3 days and one of the seeds has sprouted and is about an inch tall!!!!

I plan on keeping it in the cup for roughly a week before i move it into the DWC set up, Just so i can get some viable root formation.

Today i filled my rez with water to see what my citys PH level is.. it was in the 8-9 ranged, Added some PH down, once i get it down ill make nutrient mix

Ill keep you all posted!! as for now its time to smoke :bigjoint:

Congrats! and Welcome! Here's a few pointers to get you started. For maximum advice and help, mention the stats of your setup, temp, lights, type of nutrients ect. also, make your nutrient mix, check ph, and then add ph up or down last if its needed. Good luck man! Excited to see how it goes! I subscribed to this thread!! :)

Ty kindly Standupp!! Im learning alot on this website i must say!! Been researching for days now, and so i can get some feedback from others i will post stats of my grow set up and what im using

5 Gallon Black bucket with matching 3" wide and 4" deep netpot matching lid.
ActiveAQUA 7.8 Liters per minute pump
Black tubing
Sunleaves brand TDS essential Digital TDS Pen
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow 3-2-4
ph down
Hydrofarm Flouro Wing Grow Light 125W CLF
Hydroton pellets

I just transferred my plant into the DWC set up about an hour ago, Hoping it survives the shock! after reading tons of threads i probably shouldnt of done this as early on as i did but i think it will bounce back fine. The root system was fairly developed and i flushed it thoroughly,

PH is between 5.0-6
Temp of the room is 78 Degrees
Water Temp is 68 degrees
PPM is around 300

Standupp, After reading your entire Grow journal i saw a post that said i shouldnt really run too high of a PPM with a baby plant, so im assuming i step up the nutrients as i go correct?

Also im debating on doing a scrog, Input on that idea would be appreciated :wall:

Here is a pic after i moved it into the Hydro set up

looking good man it looks strong. i wouldnt run any nutes for a while on a seedling till she is a bit bigger but 300 ppm is pretty low should be fine.

Thanks for the advice.. its been a few hours since the transfer and i went in there and it had fallen over, i dug out all the hydro-ton around it and buried it a little further into the net pot for more stability and also set up a small oscillating fan, if it still looks weak ill emtpy my rez and just run no nutes

I have many seedlings after transfer that sometimes fall over, even a few that were still in the rapid rooter where the water in the bottom of the cup had all been used up faster than I could replace it, wilted fell over, added some more water & 2 hours later it was straight as an arrow. Try not to disturb it too much once you transplant but I too have had good success with planting seedling a little deeper you just need to be careful with root structure etc

if you scrog, plan ahead as to how you're going to flush and clean your buckets. it'll take a bit more effort to life the plant, move the bucket, have another one ready, etc.. might even need two people. i haven't done it yet, but something ive been thinking about.

Well, i came home from a 12 hour shift the other day and the room its in was 90 degrees, i have a small space heater in the room because without it its far too cold. Anyways it was kind of wilted and fallen over when i found it so i immediately took it out of the hydro ton and put it back in the soil and let the room cool down, next day it was standing straight up, Gonna keep it in there until i have to move it out of the cup its in.

Problem averted :P
