First DWC grow, anything missing?

Only have a few grows under my belt and they were all soil. This is my first attempt at hydro. Starting with a basic bubble bucket. 5 gallon lowes containers, 6" net pots, 2 soda pop air stones per container. AN sensi grow a + b with distilled water and only h2o2 as an additive. Used EZ cloner to take clones from my Barney's farm critical kush plants I just started from seed along with a freebie, dinafem deep cheese. I have two phenos of ck, a short bushy plant, and a more sativa one. Both are good plants to grow so far. Not sure which I will keep.

I transplanted the clones directly into the hydroton with no rock wool, not sure if this is a bad thing or not. So far no issues. Had the water level 2" into the net pots until I saw roots coming out. Now I lowered it to 1" below the net pot. They all look lime green and I feel like they are missing something although other than the color, they look really healthy with pearly white roots.

let me know what you think.

First picture is two ck sativa pheno transplanted on 9/28

Second picture left side is ck indica pheno right side deep cheese transplanted around 9/20

third picture is roots of ck indica pheno

Everything looks perfect. Seems like you might have a ph issuedue to the very tips of the leaves starting to brown. It looks like its just starting so if u get it under control now you should be ok. Im currently running a experiment to try and see just how small a bucket you can use to grow 1 plant. I currently have a plant in an empty bubblegum container that about a gallon. Plant is a month old and is doing fine.

Looking solid. I ran some similar buckets with a modded drip ring a couple years back.
Everything looks good, just watch pH swings, since you can only have ~3.5 gals max in
each bucket. Didn't really notice any tip burn, but if there is any keep an eye on it. As long as
it doesn't go past the tips, you know you're feeding them right to what they can handle.

My cK indica pheno still looks really healthy. It is drinking more nutes than water and pH rose from 5.7 to 6.2 over 7 days. The other 3 all drank about equal parts nutes and water, but I am also seeing some issues on the leaves. PH is 5.8 for them.

Not sure about the necrosis...but buy a bottle of silicone, which is not in the nutes we get, the plant loves it, and it can be used as Ph up.

My first thought was nute lockout. I'm using pH perfect which has kept all but one plants pH 5.6-5.8 which is too low to receive all the nutrients. The one plant where the pH rose to almost 6.2 is very healthy on all leaves.

i have silica blast that I haven't used yet. How much should I add?

Ya PH should rise in a system at a pretty even rate in a healthy system. I usually start with my soup at about 5.6-5.7 then let it drift to 6.2. I am not sure on the Silica Blast, never used myself.

What is your ppm? I doubt nute lockout, your ph levels are fine in my opinion. Possible nute burn is my first guess. You're doing pretty good so far, just experiencing some of the same issues so many of us have gone thru when we first started dwc. Cheers!

Plants are looking pretty good after the switch to 12/12. The first week I kept the grow nutes and I just switched to sensi bloom a + b in my res change last night. They have been on 12/12 for 7 days now. I think the only deficiencies I see are cal and maybe some mag. I can't add cal mag because it screws up my pH with these pH perfect nutes. The bloom formula contains more of each so hopefully they will be better in a week or so. This is my first run so I did no training and put the plants in with barely any veg time. I just want to see wether I want the indica or sativa pheno of my critical kush so I flowered as soon as I could. Really excited how fast dwc makes these grow.

EC was 1.0 in veg and about 1.3 since 12/12. They are heavy feeders and the indica pheno of my critical kush has no deficiencies at all. All of the cal and mag def are on the sativa phenos

What strength do I add per gallon? If I have pH perfect nutes which always start my pH at 5.7, will adding the silicon mess up my pH? My goal is to transition into less plants, but bigger, which means silicon is something I definitely want to learn how to use

I just finished growing one in a 24oz container I had laying around. It got to about 2 feet tall and was really healthy. It was a healthy clone and I didn't have room for another 5 gallon container and I didn't want to throw it away so I converted an old container that held feta cheese into a DWC bucket. It was also a clear container, which looked pretty cool since you could see the roots and the air bubbles. I actually did not have any problems with algae.

The calcium deficiencies are really starting to show. Not sure what to do. I am using sensi bloom pH perfect and the pH gets all screwed up if I add cal/mag. Any ideas?

What do you mean gets screwed up? It raises or lowers after adding calmag? Why can't you just adjust the PH after adding calmag? Does it continue to fluctuate or something?

BTW Is this your first time growing critical kush? If you have any experience with it I would really appreciate it if I could bug you for some info.
