Yeah, I think i'm just going to trash it, or put it outside tomorrow. I'm hoping the clone attempt comes out well so I can take others. I have never tried blueberry but I have always wanted to and expect it to become a fast favorite. It would be so nice to have a cabinet full of bb bushes. I'm going to try to get some pics of the guy(BS2) up on here tomorrow as well as BS1 outside. And thanks man it's always exciting to hear from new people.

OK so it's been a while since i've posted, so The latest... Both bagseeds came up male so I hung and dried them and stuck them in a bag. I'm hoping I can atleast use them for brownies or something. I'll prolly smoke a J of the stuff and see if it does anything at all before I waste the time and butter, naturally I would be adding all the trim off the BB to the mix so I'm wondering if 2 FULL male plants - the stalk + all the trim from the bb female would make me some decent brownies. Plus here are my FIRST pics of the BB since she started to flower, on week 2.

Also , I have a question. My girl is a lot taller than I expected and I can't get my lights any higher. Is it gonna hurt my bud production really bad if my main cola is above my lights even if I have very reflective surface?

The pics of that Blueberry from 4/22 look amazing. Now, I have to ask. Blinkimgonez, when your plants started stretching, did you just bury them a little deeper before switching to your CFL's? And if so, did it work?

Thanks, and keep up the good work!!

Thanks man, Yeah I just buried them up to the first set of leaves and that remedied the problem, and since there is more stalk under the grow medium it starts to root out of the portion you buried giving you a stronger root system. Not sure how the stress from stretching affected my male/female ratio cause all the bagseeds I kept turned out male, but who knows...they could have already just been male seeds. Anyways happy growing!

No prob man. You should start a grow journal, I'd be interested to see your progress.
I'm definitely going to. This is my first time, and my first round of seeds stretched like CRAZY, so, I planted them outside off the beaten path, and if they remedy themselves, cool.

Indoors, I started over. Right now I just have two small aquariums with one CFL per with 2 little flower pots under each. I need to get my act together asap and build a grow room.

I'm thinking something along the lines of 2x2x4 made out of particle board w/ mylar inside. I think the wood would be best because I can cut the holes for ventilation.

You seem to be doing pretty well with your grow man, any suggestions?

Appreciate it!!

You've got the right idea with the particle board, I used a cabinet and I want to be able to put the shelves back in and use it again one day so I don't want to cut any holes in it, but I am having a heat issue, at least I think that's what I think it is. Up near my main cola, which is quite shabby compared to the rest of the bud sites, my leaves surrounding the buds are folding downward. So a homemade grow box is a great start. I started this little project on a shoestring budget and it costed a lot more than I expected and I'm still not quite what most would consider up to par on my lights. But it has been a fun adventure and it was worth every penny since I am now rooting my second clone from the blueberry. So at $125 a quarter for the BB from a dealer, I am growing 3 plants of my own that I plan on collecting at least an ounce each from and easy math says I'm saving bank rolls, and could make some bills too if I planned on selling it but I don't think that's the way to go for me. But back to advice, sorry i'm a rambler, I would invest in some more light I forget the actual wattage but I got a 300w replacement for $20 at lowe's, and also what kind of nutes are you using or plan on using? Also a great bit of advice is experiment experiment experiment. I think I'm going to try a compost grow with my latest clone that I topped at it's node.

Anyways, here are some pics of the budding bb with the possible heat issue, and the topped clone that I think is developing powdery mildew (read in Cannabis Culture this is an easy fix but they didnt describe the fix) and also some pics of the latest clone that I have in a bottle of water with a few pellets of rootblast 2-1-2. Same way I rooted last one. No gel, or cloning solutions.

been off the site for a minute but jus read through some of the posts. i duno if you've solved your height issues but to answer your question, it is extremly important for the tops of the plant to be below your lights, even with reflective material. Its is even more of an issue when using cfls. its prolly too late to start LSTing your plant or to "TOP" it but you can bend branchs over to keep your plant low as it will grow very vigeriously during flowering. to do so jus rub the stem between your fingers quite firmly (you may even need to use a pliers if the stem is too thick) and bend the branch in the direction you want it grow tying it in that posisiton if necessary. it will stress the plant so do the branchs gradually starting with the imdiate problem(main cola). i hope this helps. im no expecrt but ive used this technique on my current grow n it has helped (i used the bending previous to my screen and after the screen was installed.. if u wana have a look), hit me bac if u have any questions n yo it might look like ur hurting the plant but it will heal and grow like that, jus bruise the stem dont break it off.
