Howdy.

First Time doing coco. Fed up of organic soil so hopefully I can grow some tasty buds with an automated system.

At the moment I have Jelly doughnutz and blueberry pancakes in 1 litre airpots with coco

Lights are 300w telos.

Plagron coco bricks is what I have used.

I will be using the cana line for ease of use as many seem to have used it.

Never used coco before as I said but I was advised to buffer ect so what I have done is Soak the bricks in a 5.8 solution of water and calmag. Then rinse the coco until the ppm was the same as what was going in. Then a final water of 5.8 tap water with a dose of calmag and a little canna start.

I then put my seedlings in the coco and now I'm here.

I will be following the cana guide moving forward and looking to add some extra humidity in there also.

Just remember to ph to 5.8 and always feed nutrients never plain water and you should do good.

Situation today,

Temp 22C, LUX 18,000 and humidity 60%.

Fed 200ml each which got a little run off and the feed was 500ppm and had 5ml of coco A and B and 20ml of Rhizotonic per 5 litre mix. This was less than the canna feed chart recommended but I've been told they suggest more than required so I thought I would add less and see the response.

One small jelly doughnutz seems to have a calcium deficiency I'm hoping the feed will help but I may have to foliar feed cal mag. Pic of it attached for reference.

The mutated growth is all from blueberry pancakes only 4 of the 10 were any good and of these 2 were seriously mutated as you can see in the pic attached. Odd stuff.

Fed today with calmag added and light coco feed with rhizotonic Came to 600ppm.

Temp 24c and still 18,000 lux, humidity 65%.

Jelly Doughnutz alot more vigorous than the blueberry pancakes. 4 out of the 6 have nice looking roots coming out of the bottom but none of the blueberry yet and the blueberry has curved growth on leaves like there is an issue with calcium.

Blueberries are the 4 at the back of the tent.

Watering today. PM 6.1 and ec if 1.3 as suggested by a helpful member to help deal with possible calcium def. He actually suggested 6.0 but that's the closest I got to it.

Same nutes as before. Temp 23C and lux 20,000. Each got 600ml which got run off of from all plants.

Res made today and watered all plants.

RO water with 20% tap water used. 1 litre calmag per litre used which got 300ppm. Then used coco A + B at 40ml as suggested on site which got us to 800ppm. Cannazyme added aswell as Tannin drops and drip clean.

Ph is 6.0

Water temp 19c when going in and all watered until 20% run off by eye.

Humidity 55% temp 23c and LUX 24,000.

Am trying to get the temp to about 25C but it's cold here. Added pics as the def got worse.

Will give a foliar feed later today of cal mag at 1ml per litre and Ph of 6.3.

All look rooted so will look to transplant to 9 litre fabric pots within a week.

Have to pay more attention obviously so these girls don't have a shit life so will post more.

Ok so some issues which I was advised was due to too much Calmag. The 300ppm at the start before nutes will now be reduced to 100ppm moving forward to see how things do.

Flushed with very light nutrients (seedling dose) at PH 6.0 to reset things hopefully. I was looking to flush every month to prevent salt build up but im hoping now its done any damage from what was input before should be reset? Each pot got 6 litres of water.

Looking to set up a res but the one I bought had a leak... charged me 140 and sent me some second hand shit leaking so I have to wait around a week for this to be set up.

Plants have been culled and I have kept the healthiest ones. I was not happy with the blueberry pancakes they had not even rooted out of the bottom when the Jelly Donutz was bursting out the bottom it was strange. I have my final 4 which I will clone each of at a later date.

Temps can be an issue as its 21C in there with my heater on full and I think low temps cause an issue with LED grows.

Plan moving forward is Lower EC feedings 3 times a day until I repot in 12 litre pots.

New watering shedule from today.

Mixed tap water to RO water at a ratio of 1 to 2. This got me a EC of 0.2.

Added the new reduced calmag dose which was 5ml (down from 20ml) and EV went up to 0.3.

Added my coco A and B at 40ml and then Cannazyme and got a new EC of 1.3. Added drip clean and then phed to 6.0.

I will be giving 3 feeds spread throughout the day with about 500ml which gets run off. Water temp 20C.

Nice job identifying the problem and correcting it. Your photos from yesterday afternoon look great!
Hey, Thank you! It was the support from here (Manny and others) which got me through the issues quickly.

I will donate some of the buds if they come out nice to pass on the good vibes which were passed onto me :bigjoint:

Transplanted into 12 litre fabric pots yesterday with 30% perlite as suggested on the coco website. Don't usually like that stuff but the guy knows more than me so I will try.

Rinsed and soaked the coco in a calmag solution which was 1.2 EC. Gave a watering to change the PH of the rootbase.

I will water once per day for a week or so until the pots are full up with and go for 3-5 watering per day once I figure out my automated dripper system.

Same EC ect as before but I got a new PH pen which has different values to my previous one which has confused me abit.

All in all happy with how it is going but I need to sort out temps as it gets to 21C sometimes with my heater in full blast.

I have also topped the plants from the 5th node down to the 2nd to get 4 main colas.

Today watering was the same but EC was slightly higher at 1.5.

The pots were wet at the bottom when watered and I got a little run off from each.

As they are in larger pots I'm not expecting them to dry out as quick but I'm debating watering every other day instead of every day, as the bottom of the pot was really wet to the touch. I have included drip clean so I am not super concerned with loads of run off at the moment.

Lights turned up to 100% and they are getting 30,000 lux.

New heater included and set to 27C but on the other side of the temp so it's bringing the a actual temp to around 25C.

Went back in after watering in the morning and they were dropping a little.

The changes were:
Higher ec
Watering when still wet
Higher light output.

Researching it looks like watering could be a factor so I will let the pot dry more before watering so wait perhaps 48 hours.

Lights have been turned to 75% and next watering I will lower ec to 1.3 just incase.

No watering today and the ladies recovered from the droop. Some funky signs on the leaves I have to diagnose though. I think it's an issue with magnisum but not sure how. I will keep an eye on it and see if a foliar feed or flush helps.

At the start of the day (09) i watered with an EC of 1.3 until run off which took about 2 litres to do.

Removed a couple leaves blocking bud sites.

Left it and checked on them before lights out and they were droopy. The plants felt lighter but there fabric pot was felt wet at the bottom of the fabric pot.

I should note roots are coming out of the bottom of the pots at the now so they may need multiple watering.

I gave them a little watering before lights off of about 600ml.

The humidifier ran out of water around half way through the day so that could have had a negative effect.

Today I gave a feeding of 800ml and got decent run off which is apparently where I'm supposed to be at.

Will give two more feedings as they were drooping yesterday when the morning started and i think that was either from too little water or too much light.

Foliar fed epsom salts today about in 1 teaspoon in 5 litres of water with a drop of dish soap in the 1 litre sprayer. Will do this weekly if they don't die from it..

Plants are rooted out of the pots with one having loads of roots coming out all around the pot which is not something I have seen before. Its the first time using AC infinity fabric pots so it could be that but also the Jelly Doughnuts have crazy root growth and that's without bennies.

Feeding was 1.3 EC today and it was just a mix I did from the canna grow app thing and I did a little less and it still came out 1.3. Getting run off so I don't think it will be a big deal.

Took some leaves off the centre to allow light to bud sites.

Pic is after the foliar with the lights down.

Same feeding shedule as previous for the last few days.

Only change is a slight defol and bending of the branches so more bud sites get light from the centre. Looking really nice and happy they have recovered. I think the strain is quite resilient!

I have fed between 6.0 and 6.1 on the ph and will be foliar feeding more.

I gave a watering half way through their light cy light cycle and came back a little later for their normal watering and they looked like they were so happy which means I need to look at the sheudle in more detail as I could be over watering.

With this being said I only get a little run off each time and give about 800ml each time.
