It's been 3 years, and this is the first harvest I've been able to grow.

Should I prune the non-crystalized fan leaves, or should I leave them to add to the bitch's growth?

then you should probably listen to the people on here.... we can help you.

the fan leaves are needed for the plant to take in light. they NEED the fan leaves to support the growth of the buds. Green leaves take in light, use the Photons of light to catalyze reactions between glucose and the other minerals in the plant to produce growth.
Listing all reactants and products, photosynthesis can be described as:
6 CO[SUB]2[/SUB] + 12 H[SUB]2[/SUB]O → C[SUB]6[/SUB]H[SUB]12[/SUB]O[SUB]6[/SUB] + 6 O[SUB]2[/SUB] + 6 H[SUB]2[/SUB]O

But because water is both a reactant and a product, the equation can be simplified accounting for net water consumption, which is: 6 CO[SUB]2[/SUB] + 6 H[SUB]2[/SUB]O → C[SUB]6[/SUB]H[SUB]12[/SUB]O[SUB]6[/SUB] + 6 O[SUB]2
[/SUB]Carbon dioxide + Water + Light energy → Glucose + Oxygen

I will just tuck them out of the way from time to time. The plant will rid itself of leaves it doesn't need, no need to do it yourself.
