First FF BB feed, enough to pull out of N Def?

Thanks for taking a look. My plants are now 11 days from grodan to soil transplant and they have had (3) 6.5ph balanced waterings. I'm in FFOF, and have not feed the plants with anything other then a small shot of 5ml cal/mag last night with their 3rd watering. It appears a few of the plants have N def and this is where my question lies. I intend on introducing a 1/4 strength shot of FF Big Bloom on their 4th watering as their first shot of true nute feeding in 48 hours. Is this the right step to getting some N into the plants and get them out of this phase?

Hi,
FF Ocean Forest is a "hot" soil, it has lots of stuff in it and it can cause nute burn when you add Nutes to OF to soon.

Get happy frog for your 1st 30-60 days , Happy Frog is a good soil for seedlings and clones, it not as "hot".

then transplant to Ocean Forest.

Either soil should not need Nutes for the first 15-30 days depending on Pot size.

I use FF products they are all I know and I like them.

Im a Nube so I don't know much and I'm pretty high....

peace,
DZ

I had the same experience. I started in ocean forest and added some ff grow big, my plants got their asses kicked and suffered nitrogen toxicity. I was advised to put them in happy frog with mycos and water lightly for two weeks then a little molasses every other week.

FF soils are great products,

Rapid rooter plugs are what I started my seeds and clones in.
I use Olivia's full strength and 1/4 strength of the two FF Nutes as an additive to my water for seedlings and clones.

Use Happy Frog From a Dixie Cup to 1 gal pot then Ocean Forest when you repot to 3 gallon or larger.

I always Add good perlite to the Soil, approx 1/5 the volume of the soil for both soils.

I like to line the bottom of my pots with white garden rocks for good drainage usually 1"-2" of rock then Soil.

Soil may be slow growing but it is very forgiving because it is so slow.

some one taught me
"in all things great and small - slow is fast".

I have used FF soils in the past with success for growing lots of goodies it is great for Tomatoes, Basil, Chili Pepper bushes.

I needed very little food beyond what the soil an the sun provided.

beyond the food you need PH correct water and an understanding of controlling The PPM of your feed.

In soil I used
Grow Big
Big Bloom
Tiger Bloom

(this brand has soil specific or Hydro, be careful to get the one you need)

Peace,
DZ
