That what I thought at first. But also thought maybe it is to low. Some show defencies similar to the lack of nitrogen. (I know each strand of this unknown bag seed will feed differently, this the difficulty. Getting clones from a buddy next grow. This is all for learning.)

Take a look at some of the other plants that have not been growing as fast as the prettier plant I post more often.

Damn looks like each one has a different problem. :wall:

This is the best looking one and she has light green yellowing on first set of true leaves.
image.jpg image.jpg

The set of leaves above (first true node I think) has now shown the tip to start the same light coloring gradually moving up from tip to inner leaf and hopefully doesn't cover whole leaf.

I have watered today PH down 6.3

Ok ... I dropped in late in the game with this thread , but after reading the FRANTIC start with these plants , i had to add my 2 ¢.

For next time :
Seedlings need NOTHING but a lightly damp soil.
Ditch the distilled water. Run TAP in the early stage.
( your plants growing outside GROW on tap right ? )
I MIST only ( seedling ) as not to drown the damn thing.

If using a premium soil - LET THAT FEED YOUR SEEDLING
Don't FEED SHIT to a fragile new seedling , it has to get accustomed to its medium without DUMPING MORE additives on it.

I use Light Warrior Seed Starter - to start plants.
image.jpg image.jpg
Since you do the Solo Cup way - Just add soil - premoist soil lightly - plant germed seed. Not rocket science :leaf:

Once i move ( transplant ) into bagged premium soil , I STILL dont feed shit until Week 5 ! By then you either flipped light schedule or preflowers show ( if an auto plant ) - Then i start the feeding Usually Bloom start. You would be surprised how well a plant would grow WITHOUT a lot of OVERCARE.

Overwatering seedlings can create a Damp Off condition where the seedling dies , and its taproot looks like a shriveled string.

A premium Bagged soil can carry a young plant All by itself with just watering.
The soil will exhaust itself as plant absorbs "what it wants " not necessarily what YOU THINK IT NEEDS.

KISS METHOD comes into play here : Keep it Simple Stupid .

image.jpg Light warrior mix
image.jpg ( solo cup transplant with Light Warrior plug )

Example of watering during Early Stage : ( different plant )
image.jpg

Note : if plant SHOWS any burns With just water - Soil choice may be too hot.

:peace:

Hey BudzBuhhda,

Thank you for your share!

These plants started in an organic soil that was pretty low on NPK (to my knowledge)

IMG_1484.jpg IMG_1485.jpg IMG_1486.jpg

I began running 1/4 strength of FF last week and it clear up a lot of their yellowing they had.

Here is a picture of them on the 15th

IMG_2184.jpg

Here they are last Thursday

IMG_1873 (1).jpg

Here they are today

IMG_1964.jpg IMG_1968.jpg IMG_1970.jpg

Germed paper towel
Tap root down
I experienced 2 dying by damping and saw what you mean by string root =\

I have very high tap PH 8.2-4

I started buying distilled and PH down to 6.5

I used FF grow big and big bloom because to my knowledge my soil did not provide enough for a few weeks...I could be wrong.

They reacted well to the first dose of nutes at 1/4 strength and well to the 1/2 strength...by well I mean I saw more leaf growth and nodes coming in...I have not gotten the color back to full lush green for them all yet.

I am going to just give distilled water PH -6.5 for a cpl days and see if this worsens..

I am going to read up on whether those waterings should contain any silica blast or cal-mag...

*Wouldn't nutrient burn just start at the very tip, the pictures of my larger girls leaves show light brown around the entire blade.

That plus the yellowing makes me think they are hungrier, despite what I THINK haha, I will give them a few days of water

Thank you again for your insight I do appreciate it! I know as a beginner it is far from optimal to germ 20 bagseed...but hopefully this will get me prepared when I get my friends clone and start a mother of my own.

I see how you water when its just a small seedling in a larger pot..right around the stem vs. the entire pot of soil.

these small peat moss jiffy pots are half the size of a Red solo cup...which may be the issue. May be time to get them out of there.

Pictures from yesterday after feedingIMG_2192.jpg IMG_2193.jpg IMG_2195.jpg IMG_2196.jpg

Well, I started this project almost a month ago...I am very happy with how many are alive...

I always grew basil, cilantro, tomatoes and other easy veggies growing up..took a 5 year break. So this past weekend my girlfriend and I went and got all the stuff we needs to build a small garden outdoors! Very exciting.

My girls here are my 1st priority tho =)

So I have decided that the smart pots are drying to quickly. Every post online talks about how terrible they are at such a small size because the aeration prunes them so it helps stunt growth....

I have safely transplanted them over to larger cups with more soil hopefully this helps with not having to water everyday..no drops or big mistakes made, hopefully they appreciate it.

First FIM test.... =) wish me luck!

IMG_2001.jpg IMG_2002.jpg IMG_2003.jpg

Zoom it of what I am going to clip with unused mini mustache scissors. I took about 80% of its brand new growth off with one clean cut.

IMG_2004.jpg IMG_2005.jpg IMG_2006.jpg IMG_2007.jpg IMG_2008.jpg

and my Pax, best investment I made for a pocket Vape!

So that was the first FIM attempt, I will keep a close eye on her. I will put her under my 1080p webcam for a time lapse to check and see if I get the results I want.

So excited right now!!! Friend is on his way over with 1000 hps...the way he described was similar to cool tube with inline fan, some ropes, white wrap for the walls, bulbs, ballast, ducting, and some other goodies...

will post pictures soon!

Alright quick update

Have the light, ballast, inline fan, white tent like material I'm stapling to the inside of the closet, FFOF soil, and 14 pots.
image.jpeg image.jpeg

Plus this girl on the right tripled size in three days since I dropped her and transplanted her into my girlfriends MG soil. I honestly didn't think she'd survive one night. They are weeds.

The other 12 left out of this picture are half the size. Still waiting on them to kick it into high gear.

This light will do :bigjoint::hump:

Girls are damp, I think enough to hold them till tomo. They go to bed in 30 min.

May try the silica blast with ph'd distilled at .5ml/500ml in a spray bottle for a little foliage snack....

Left the new pots at a my buddies. Should get those tomo.

Rerouting the AC ducting hopefully tomo as well and will see about getting the new light up!

Can't turn it on till I receive my adapter.

It's going to be much more then I expected.

(I ordered a handful of different pepper seeds, ghost, Carolina reaper, and a few different ones I use In my chili.)

Squirrel.

.
.
.
Once I get the girls into these larger pots and this light hung I won't have to change much till flower time!

Super pumped. Working with These plants has already helped with so much stress relief and my adhd. Since you must be a curious one if your still reading this.

Anyhow the odds are looking In My favor. Just need to keep things simple and go with water for now since I'll be transplanting to FFOF soil. Which should have a good amount of feed for them? I could be wrong please let me know.
Lights out here. :weed:

Well. It's clear some are doing better then othersimage.jpeg

The nice green on in the center is nice a green but it's bottom set of leaves face strait down even tho they're green and healthy.

The top left in this pictures first set of leaves won recover from a light yellow now with a brown rust in there also image.jpeg

Wish I had more guidance, but I wouldnt want to help a beginner with 14 different strands ether.

Hahaha all for learning.

Moving forward my friend has a few mothers I will be able to get some clones off! So this is going to be great training for when I have a known genetic.

Can't set up light until adapter arrives tomo.

Getting up in the attic today. I would like Help with my closet set up.

I have pictures and dimensions. Simply put 2x7x8 guest bedroom closet. Double door entry. With AC unit on the other side. I am buying a ducting "y" splitter. Going to make a split in the attic from my bedrooms AC and open a hole in the ceiling of the closet and drop a 8 foot ducting roll to the ground so the AC can come in both rooms.

Since I have a HPS hood that's vented and sealed I'll need to look at best exhaust option.

I have no idea.

This scared me initially but I have a HPS given for free with inline fan.
(Carbon filter soon)

So now I don't need the T5 and can use that $$$ to work exhaust.

Yikes. I got a lot of work. Need to find more forums and drawings or people's plans.

If you have anything to share, please do!

Getting to work.

Looking better! Some reacted differently then the others with the shot of nutes they got Friday.

Transplanting the majority of these tomorrow once everything with the light and exhaust is set up.

Having to cut a damn 6" hole in closet cieling. Kinda sucks but not sure any other option.

More pictures to come once inline and light with ducting are installed

50 shades of green.

Waiting for them to recover from the semi flush preparing to move them to there final homes this weekend hopefully

Pulled one up today and it's outgrown the solo cup quickly.

It may have to be transplanted tomo. Most of the others are still taking their time. Seem happy. Over watered right now.

They really have shot up quick.

Some are growing a bit deformed with wild fan leaves. Some have 6 nodes just started 7th and only 4 in high. That is not what I see in most journals and videos. I need to know what caused it.

Here is the one at top left, she's the most bushy of them all...
image.png image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

It's two or three doing this. So it's not the same strand however it could be more dominant in I vs S. They are mini bushes to be honest. I feel as if they should stretch. Not sure.

Top left was fimmed
Bottom left was fimmed
Center was fimmed

Just playing around learning how these girls work. :)

Also will it be ok to WATER with silica blast half strength or less every time I wet the soil? I have read it was beneficial but would like more opinions.

Thanks for checking out the troopers.

If you are looking for more of a stretch, and more space between nodes, you may consider raising your light. It looks as if you are also experiencing light burn on top growth.

I could be wrong, as I am relatively new to this game.
I have been watching, just not sure what, if any guidance I can help with, other than that, just yet. Good luck!

Peace

I can't even count the amount of nodes on about four of them scared to rip stems off just moving the brush.

I wasn't able to get a good picture of the inner stem for most of them

The one in the center still has a lot of yellow I'm giving her just PH water for now. Hoping I'm not nitrogen def.

Can't wait until I get them in their new homes. I think my girlfriend and I are going to start them tonight with a few joints

I'm hoping this week gives me some good growth in their new light

I got a new digital timer but my ballast doesn't come on with any timer. I have to wiggle the switch on the dang box, not sure if I want to take it apart or have my friend that lent it take a look. And see if the switch can be tightened or more secured.

And it'd be nice not having to wake up at 1 and 7am.

Any how here are some pics!

image.jpeg

IMO stems look great, fanning them since seedling made them very nice!

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

You can see where the larger ones were fimmed. Which I actually think topped one of them, I'll need yalls opinions when they grow a little more.

The nodes are stacked so so closely I think it's a issue. I am not sure. But I would like them to stretch up and out if possible lol soon.
Let me know if there is anything I can do better. Or change.

These girls are about to be transplanted possibly tonight...roots are really growing

Thanks for checking them out,

Going to make a sandwich.
