just make sure it stay moist... i think you could go ahead and set up your system. Bigger rockwool would be fine too...probably would save you some nutrient money... im with you.. bigger rockwool till that gets full then put them in the bucket system..
Very low nutrients for the first few weeks...start low and ramp up in the weeks to come.... i wouldnt go over an 800 ppm until the flowering stage. say a 200-500 ppm to start.. IMO

they look good!

Day 5: Pics goin up, lowered light to a foot and 6" from plants I really dont if I can lower it any more?

Roots came out of bottom of rockwool and are bout 3 inch roots, should I put them into bigger rockwool? :weed:
At this stage i usually put in small cups of soil... So i guess a bigger rockwool cube will work good too..

very nice setup! i am thinking of using soil again on my next grow..which i plan to scrog..but i was thinking of using those little carrot looking things that you put in the soil that feeds off of a elevated water supply...the roots supposedly pull the water as they need it..very interesting..

Yea its real awesome. Also the elevated water once evaporated soaks into the rockwool which allows a longer period of time you dont have to water them and the risk of disease is lessened greatly.

Hey brotha!.... took the fam on vacation so i wasnt online for 5 days or so.... lol.... Looking pretty good man... just make sure you dont go too hot on the nutes... burning them up right now would have a big effect on final yield.. Its better to go less than over..ya dig?

you know i get the best filtered water at safeway... I have a pretty good ph/ec/ppm tester that i compare the stores in my area with...lol... safeway filtered pay by the gallon machine deal...ya dig?... 35 cents a gallon i beleave... get 5 5gallon bottles... it will cost you the first time... but you can and will use the bottles allot.

your other alternative is to buy an RO filter machine for your house... a few 100$.. but you wont have to lug the bottles around...

I dont mind it... its about the only heavy lifting i ever doo....lol...
