Gotta say, for a first time grow you sure have bitten off a lot. But everything seems to be going well. Props for that...

Hello,

Sorry guys wasn't able to access RIU for a couple days.

End of week 8 flower update (day 57)

No changes from last week. For the next couple days I started flushing with just ph'd water, the reason is because I never flushed the rockwool this whole time, even though there was no problems and the fact that I ran out of the bloom formula. The next update will be after harvest and drying.

Hello,

So I have cut, trimmed, dried, and de-stemmed everything (extremely long and tedious process). After trimming I hung up the buds attached to the stems to dry for 72hrs at 40% humidity and 66f. Then I de-stemmed the buds and laid them out for an additional 36hrs. The end result was 3170 grams or 7lbs of dried bud. This has been a great learning experience for me even though I started out a little big. If anybody is interested in replicating these results these are the 2 threads that I basically got all my information from, thanks homebrewer and everyone else who contributed valuable information and advice:

http://~ Dyna-Gro vs General Hydroponics (Dumpster grow)
http://Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 grow)

Also the strain was the Great White Shark from clone and there was 42 plants in total. For my next mission I will try to make my own mother's from seed and if I succeed I will start another journal with a different strain.

If you don't mind me asking how much was your electric bill for each month? I'm planning doing a setup similar with maybe 5 1000hps...Maybe 15 plants to each 1000

Amazing run! I think I may have to copy you :) How does it smoke?

Whether you run recirculating or dtw, rockwool prefers top drip (you rocked it with e&f). Dripping essentially flushes any salts out of the blocks on a daily basis.
