First grow 48 days in, all appear to be hermididdididid

Here is buddha's sister in canna coco, following canna grow schedule using canna nutes a+b, rhizo, zym and boost. 600watt mh conversion bulb through entire veg and flowering stages. main ones are 17 days into flowering, 48 days total so far, very first grow. just discovered they all hermied  seeds came from hermied plant though so, not sure if that was the cause, or the fact that in two consecutive days about a week prior, was an hour late in moving them into photo period tent.:wall: balls are on a handful of nodes, one or two per plant.

I had this happen to me a while ago. I pulled out all the mostly males, and kept the mostly females. Then I took the time every day for a good month to knock off every pollen sack that showed up. I was fortunate because my plant was male on the bottom and female up top, so I just removed most of the lower branches and still pulled a really nice harvest with hardly any seed.

So, you can keep them since they are all hermed, might as well try. If the plant is your more 50/50 throughout then you're pretty jacked. But, there is the chance that your herm could be like my herm was.

Now, I thought this was genetic, but in 2 more grows from the same seed stock I've yet to find another hermaphrodite. This lead me to believe the cause for the issue was the occasional flash of light during the dark period, I had my plants in a closet next to the bathroom and kitchen and hadn't figured out how important light tightness is.

Then I bought a tent, and never had another problem... yet.

nope, they are the names of 2 products you can use(you must have both, they mix together) to kill any male flowers and prevent more from forming then later on in the grow do another application to be safe.

my friend is telling me should take no chances, because of the open space, it will leave pollen and fuck up every future grow. very sad, money wasted and time wasted. But I guess it's just what must be done. these were surely stress induced from all the nubile mistaked made so not sure the dutchmasters reverse and penetrator would help = /

or sell the seeds as femmed seeds, which is mostly all the other companys do, polinating a female with another female(hermie) to make 80-90% fem seeds. But DON'T germ the same plant with itself or try not to as those seeds will suck and have unstable genetics.

Except that's not how they do it. Not really.

First of all, hundreds of plants need to be started. These plants are stressed to the max, and every plant that herms is removed. What is left are "true females." Girls that won't be guys.

Then a branch of one of these plants is changed to male by a chemical process. The pollen from this branch carries pure female genetics, and as a result of crossing female with female is produced.

Hermed seeds are going to carry a very high occurrence of hermaphroditic tendencies.

that will still save them, i wouldnt kill them just yet, you know water kills pollen? all you gotta do is spray the room with water if they would pop badly.

you are right sort of, but less high class seed producers will do it the other way he said.
