First grow, and man is it ghetto fabulous.

Alright so after browsing the forums for a few months and reading/absorbing all the information I can, I finally feel confident enough to post about my first grow, and it is indeed super low budget, so no flaming because I'm broke!

So the "stealth" setup I have isn't really that extravagent but it keeps all the light inside and I have a few mirrors setup until I can get some of those thermal blankets to line the inside with. I am using a footlocker I got while traveling abroad thanks to the military, and a 26 watt (100 equivalent) CFL hanging with an improvised shoelace pulley for raising and lowering the light. I plan on getting 3 more in there for the flowering process, but the one seems fine for right now.

Originally I only had two seeds that I had germinated, bagseed of coarse (this is my first grow! Next time after I have some experience I will get some fire seeds and have a better grow box) the first plant grew fast as hell, as I had the light about a foot above it for a week. Now that I realized that's a no-no I have the light about 2 inches from the top of my tallest plant. The dwarf plant's roots never grew properly, I know this because I extracted it from the soil and noticed it's root was black at the tip and there was no root growth at all, so I cut it on an angle, and germinated another seed (which is planted next to it) just in case. If this was the right thing to do, let me know, I just kinda guessed! It's been a day since I cut the root, and the leaves are losing a bit of color, im hoping it will come back, but if not I'm not worried about it.

I am trying to keep my plants short, they are only 11 days into veg on a 24/7 cycle with Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil, and using liquid Miracle Grow food (I know, organic nutes are better, but I'm broke atm) watering 1x daily with 2x daily mists on the leaves with bottled water.

I'll keep posting pics as they become available, I'd appreciate any input/criticism as this is my first grow.
