first grow - can I save my plant?

First-time grower and poster here. :) I just discovered Rollitup last night and am so excited to have found such a knowledgeable community. I read only a few pages of some of the intro threads, so I have a LOT more to read. I am amazed by the wealth of information here and I wish I'd found it sooner! Thank you in advance for helping me out!

 I have a plant growing in an Aerogarden, but it's obviously not doing well (see pic below). It almost seems to be growing too fast.

I am NOT a green thumb, I have no idea how to take care of plants or keep them alive. Gardening is not my thing. However, I want to grow my own weed because I am tired of paying $50 for an "1/8th" of crap where half of it is stems. I'm not interested in high-volume growing.

So right now I have this one plant in an Aerogarden. Here's what's going on so far:
-First it grew in a closet under a regular fluorescent light for a couple months, then transplanted to the Aerogarden where it just shot up
-It's on a 20 on/4 off light schedule
-Set on "Tomato" setting
-The light is run on a timer separate from the Aerogarden
-I have an aquarium air pump running and an air stone in the reservoir
-All extra holes in Aerogarden are covered with duct tape
-I use distilled water at room temp
-I have an oscillating fan blowing indirectly towards the plant (my room is small)
-The room is in the attic which is probably about 100 deg F tonight.

I have the Master Gardener nutrient packets (liquid) and pH tester/up&down. But I can't figure out what ratio of water to nutrients I should use. So I haven't been giving it any food.

So my basic question is: can I save the plant? If so, how?
If not, then I will say goodbye to it and start over (after reading a LOT more of the fabulous advice that's been given here).

100 Fahrenheit is way to much for that little to thing survive, start over:blsmoke:
I could move it to the basement if I created a light-proof box...
If I cut off the tippy top, could I replant it?

Ugh--GanGaGirl is what I get for registering while high. lol

How high are you Stupid clown might be right.

My personal advice on restarting:
If your using bag seeds, put one seed in each grow-pod. (You could probably leave your heat stressed plant in)
Start on 12/12 from seed. By starting the light cycle on a flowering schedule from day one.
By 3-5 weeks most sex's will be apparent. "Weed" out the Males. You do not want pollen in your attic.
For making nutrient solution: Using the gallon jug of water from the grocery store; Empty the liquid nutrient packet into gallon jug, close, shake, fill reservoir. For the first week or two, you might want to use the small packets if you got them or use half a packet of liquid per gallon of water. By the time the females show their hairs, you should be using the large nutrient packets. Use only water for the last week(or two) before you plan to harvest. Harvest could be between 2-3months from seed, but always look for the ripeness.
Use a fan. Or a few of them.

Thanks everyone!
I may try replanting the top, just to see what happens.
But I will start a new seed as well. AFTER I do a lot more reading here.

Wow, that plant is hurting... haha.

I would order up some nutrients (I used Fox Farm with success) and start over.

I know! He's such a sad little guy! I want to pet him or something to make him feel better. lol But I have 4 more female seeds that I can go from.

I'm gonna re-register to get rid of this doofy misspelled name because it's buggin' me. :D

Yo,
What's the new plan? Cut the plant in half and clone it inside the aerogarden, while starting a new feminized seed at the same time? Running the light cycle on 18on/6off until the cutting forms roots? Then switching to flowering? Have you decided to keep using the MasterGardner kit Nutrients?

I am afraid of having too much product than I know what to do with, I have only one friend I can share with.....so I would prefer to clone Mr Sad Plant first and see how that goes before starting another seed. Is there a good thread that explains starting with a clone in an AG?

Based on some of the threads I've read here, I need to go and get some more lights.
I do want to keep using the Master Gardener nutrients, I have a huge box of them.

I'm such a terrible gardener that I am hesitant to start over because I don't want the same thing happening again. lol So I feel like I should have a plan in place so I know what I'm doing ahead of time.

For the clone, do I simply snip off the top and poke it into a new grow sponge? (I am using the soft little brown ones that came with the AG.)
