first grow evah

ok well i am growing alaskan ice with 6 cfls all 26 watt 4 of them are 6500k and 2 of them are 2700k. wanted to mix it up. Been growing for about a week or less from germinated seed till now. seed took 2 days to germinate used the paper towel method and im currently planted in seedling miracle grow soil. transplant will be organic soil and perlite prolly a 30% perlite and 70% soil. I want the roots to breath. anyways here it is please no neg comments suggestions are welcome but no attitudes please. im poor and cannot afford a hps or mh light although once i start workin again i will prolly get my hands on some caues im an electrician by trade. hopefully free. my pics are in my album still not sure how to get them here feel free to check em out.

no just noticed most other journels there are some comments guess mine is just too noobish or small o well transplanted into bigger pot with 2/3 soil and 1/3 perlite seems to drain pretty good hopefully will keep me from drowning it. i wait to water till soil is dry about 1 to 2 insh down. I have fish emulsion nutes when should i start adding that not sure? its miracle grow organic soil is all i could find around here. Seems to have about same nutes as the seedling soil did by looking at package. boy that fish stuff smells i opened it and foolishly stuck it right under my nose hope it dowesnt' stink up my closet

You dont need nutes for the first couple weeks. Does the MG have time relesed nutes?

its miracle grow organic

ive heard alot of bad things about mg time released. Be carefull when using nutes not to over do it. Good luck and happy growing

well droopy conditions still there but its geting taller and lots more formations so i think maybe from watering too much after i transplanted itso im laying off water for a while its still nice and damp/ moist.ill post more pix in a few fays

Yea man just lay off the watering for a bit...and you do not want to start nutes until the 3rd week or so.

thanks for replies everyone how long do u think i should veg i have a height to work with here about 3 ft plus a few inches was gonna lst if i gotta but from what i have been readin lst can cause shock and i want crop asap. not sure thanx (maybe not how long but how tall till 12/12) thanx

You can but them on 12/12 anytime you want, ut if your only have 3 ft of room, you should keep them pretty small. Remember they will grow twice the size or more when flowering. So I would say something around the size of a foot, to foot and a half tall.

ok i flushed new soil got rid of MG organic and still same shit so i have invested in my own homemade cabinet with bubbleponics DIY small scale one plant. Has anyone ever transplanted from soil to hydro cause thats what im gonna do. I got gen hydro 3 stage nutes rockwool hydroton 6 inch round air stone and air pump. Oh and also a water pump as well seeings hows its going to be direct feed to net pot pump is variable so i can adjust how much water and how fast. Small pump 75 i think but its only for one plant maybe 2. anyways anybody ever do a soil to hydro transplant??? If not i guess im the first to try but i doubt it. O and got ph tester and balance kit.

Just lightly wash the soil off the roots. Place plant in the net pot and fill with hydroton. Pretty easy. Good luck

ok man thanx for reply. do u have any exp with gen hydro nutes? from what i understand i use micro and veg nutes together for veg then i use micro and bloom nutes for for bud. I am gonna use 1/2 or less strength at first to see how they work. Any suggestions. Ill post some pix of my new grow box and setup once i get it all done. Heeheheheh im excited i had bad luck with soil so im hoping this bubble-hydro system kicks as much ass as i have been reading about. Good news is i found a hydro store about 20 to 30 min away from me and he has everything except mylar. I painted it white inside box for now maybe ill get some mylar after i get this going. tweaks for later anyways thanx man. Dirt free for me hehehehhehehehee

No i dont know any antthing about that brand. It should have come with a mixing chart. If not the guy at the hydro store should have one.

i found it online and chart on back of container is not very specific found one online and i was pretty close so im gonna use online chart just go at half strength first to make sure its not too strong. thanx man talk to yea soon

Whatever nutes you use start them at about a quarter of recommended doseage. you are better off under nutes than over.
