You guys did helped me a lot!!!!! But I ain't going no where ;) I'm hooked lol Just got to wait till get a bit colder bcuz these temps ain't helping, it has been all 85-90s past couple of weeks.
I was thinking that I'll keep this post alive by posting pictures from my weekend get aways with my "girls" lol So have a nice and "sunny" day, and Thank you once again. :)

Hey guys, how's everybody doing this fine summer? ;) I'm gathering some things for my next grow which I'll start some time around the middle of august, just a quik question for all, you guys think a 250w hps would be enough for 3 plants? I would go with a 400w but my box aint that big so I worry about the heat. Any suggestions? ;) Thank You all for any info, pointers etc. Have a nice and "sunny" day :)

And one more thing, I'm looking for some good autos for good yield and taste, thinking about World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder, or Dutch Passion Think Different? I'm open to all suggestions, thx all. ;)

Thx Bumps, I was also thinking about 400w dimmable and use it at around 75% if it gets to hot I'll just drop it down to 50% but the closet where the box is is getting pretty cold during winter months so if it get to cold I can always bump it up to 100%.

That sounds good in theory but I've heard that it changes the light spectrum too much when you do that and you won't get optimal growth. I didn't do much research but you should if that is the real plan for you. I just rock mine @ 100% all the time!!

Hey Acid! Auto's don't yield much, that I have seen, plus you will need to run 18/6 the whole way. You get better yield from Reg's or Fem's seed, plus the 12/12 to save heat and power....rw

yeah i agree with RW, i would go with some good fem seeds and just train your plants then you can keep them small and bush and let them grow as big as you want, you have way more controll and they are better genetics. look into that big buddah blue cheese man it was excellent and anyone i have talked to that has grown it out have nothing but great things to say about it as well. plus a 5 pack of seeds can last you 5 grows if you just start one and do some cloning to get desired amount of plants.....

or pick 3 different strains and you can grow 3 seed per grow and have a bit of variety!!! already gave my opinion on the light situation, but ill give again. i think a 400w would be better and as long as you can get some cool air going temps should not be an issue.

Bumps, RW and Matt..Thank you for your input guys..gathering as much info as I can, so this time I'll try get even better results. So I'll just go with a 400w, cool tube reflector is out of the question bcuz it's to big for my box so Matt gave me a pointer to go with a cool tube with a wing reflector plus get a good fan pointing rite at the bulb, I mean I dont know it's a cool tube so do I need a fan pointing at the bulb?

As for the beanz I got one bean of fem. sour diesel and one fem. of critical jack by dinafem so I can use those two, or order some more benaz I see the tude got nice promo going on this month.

The place where the box is, is in the back corner of the house, so fall, winter or even early spring time it's freaking cold there lol so let's just hope I wont have that big of an issue with the temps lol.

I should be getting the light in about week or two, so when I get light delivered we can go from there ;)
But for now I got to get me some sleep lol tired as hell. Thank you again guys.

I run my light at night, so it cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Plus power is cheaper at night. Have fun!!!....rw

power companies increase the cost per killowatt during prime time and lower the rate during non prime time prime time is around 5pm to 10 pm in most places I would research this with your provider

with a cool tube you will need a inline fan and some ducting, you will pull air through the ducting, through the cool tube through the ducting and out wherever you want to vent.

so bottom line is you will have a closed ventilation system just to cool the light that will pulla cool air across the light and vent hot air out the other side, if it is sealed well the air should not smell

So here we go again ;) I order some beanz from the tude and waiting for the package to arrive, in meantime I got two autos in soil rite now waiting for them to pop up above the ground, it's been 2 days when they went in to the soil so in the next few days I should see some sprouting going on. This time I went with square 3g pots just bcuz they fit better in the box ;) The autos that I'm growing are Auto Seeds Hijack, I'm just growing this autos to fill out the box till I can start my photo plants later in the season. I also got my eye on 400w hps for the photo plants, but that will come next grow ;) I think I'll have to start new thread for this grow or should I just leave it as it is? :) So just letting you guys know what's going on my end :)

nah man bike is laid up i blew a shift shaft oil seal and gotta replace this weekend. otherwise have put 4k miles on her this summer so far sooo

super jealous. been tryin to convince the wife to let me get a bike, but no go. all i got so far is we rented a scooter for a day, which she LOVED, but still no on the bike. ill get her though.

how you livin these days acid? havin a good summer? i feel like everyones having a great summer this year. u popped a couple autos? thats coo...i cant wait to one day get a different genetic. im still working with the same one i started with originally. lol.
