First Grow...HELP Needed

Hey Guys,

Glad to be a part of the forum. Gotta say, it's pretty great in here. On my first grow right now and looking for a bit
of help.

OK, 9 weeks in on a cheese grow. Lower buds contain 90% brown hairs...but main colas and buds round about
the main colas seem to be ripening really slow. Have about 50%-60% brown hairs (waiting for magnifier to check
trichomes) but for some reason, main colas seem to be sprouting new white hairs up near the top of the colas!

Will try and add pics tomorrow, just wondered if anyone can shed any light on:

1 -- How long remaining hairs on main colas will take to go brown (they are turning an off-white colour at the
moment)?

2 -- Why are there new white hairs appearing in places?

Hairs can be brown or white man it's all strain dependant, it's all in the Trichromes as to whether or not it's time to harvest, they should be milky not amber. Some hairs can even turn golden brown or reddish.

I agree, harvest time should be judged by the trichs and not the hairs, it all depends wether it's indica or sativa as to how long it will take, also growing conditions....best of luck

Ive grown strains that will get a burst of new growth just before they finish .

often in the last 3-4 weeks of flower do plants swell and seem to almost double in size, I like to think of it as one last push to attract insects for pollination before there life cycle comes to an end but this could be part of my stoner world/thoughts
